Grand Seiko SLGC001

Post by Wario406 » Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:12 am

Not sure if Grand Seiko goes in this forum - but, it’s one of my favorite brands, and I really like this chrono. It also looks like the GS front office is making a run at moving their price point up a bit. Im sure it’s worth it, but this $$ is Rolex GMT territory. Their second hand market drops off pretty fast, but none the less I think this is sharp and might be a buyer at about 1/2 - 2/3 this price.

Like any GS, you gotta see a Tentagraph in person. It’s shockingly light for how huuuuge it wears.

I don’t remember there being any quick adjustment on the clasp, which would drive me nuts trying to get the right fit. But once the light hits that dial you realize what makes it so special.

Edit: Snowflake dial here would be hot :fire:

I can’t wait to see one of these in person.

Steel Reef is now making micro adjust links for the bracelet. I’ve got one on order for my GS and am hopeful that it’s all that.

Love this one. If it gets cheap enough, I’d buy as well. I think Topper had/has one pre-owned.

New reference SLGC007 adding a near-snowflake panda dial.

I'm not feeling it. It's very Casio Edifice.
