Omega Inhouse Chrono - Basel 2011

Have you guys seen this? Omega is going to introduce an inhouse chrono at Basel 2011. It's an entirely new movement, not a piggyback on the 8500.

I really like what Omega is doing with the 8500, and now this. The prices will go up, but they're becoming an inhouse manufacture, which appeals to me. Pairing inhouse movement with LiquidMetal could yield some pretty desirable watches. What do you guys think?

Interesting. Sounds like Omega will still keep the 1861 in the Speedmaster though, which makes sense. I wonder if the new 9300 and 9301 will be a dive chronograph or in a new AT version, or if Omega is coming up with a new line just for this movement. 2011 can't get here fast enough!

I hear Omega is the new cool brand, and Rolex is sooooo last week.

If Omega start re-releasing all their great old designs like the Flightmaster, Baby Ploprof, Mark Speedmasters- and with in-house movements- they will be the BEST BRAND EVER.

Also, I like how they're banishing the 33xx movement to the women's chronos.
