Re: Ochs und Junior Annual Calendar at 6k??
How do you read the date? Do you have to count the dots? And what do the sub-dials do?
EDIT: I see now. Could take a bit of getting used to.

Really cool concept, along with design. Going to have to wait for them
to go on sale though maybe.

Re: Ochs und Junior Annual Calendar at 6k??
it was a mistake in pricing... they've since corrected it and it's now back at 8k.
Re: Ochs und Junior Annual Calendar at 6k??
I'm always a fan of innovative displays. This one is definitely unique, but it's not for me. A bit too complicated for me for an annual calendar. That said, 6K for any annual calendar with good finishing is a good deal I think. At 8k though, you start running into a Zenith Captain Windsor wit Annual Calendar, which may complicate the decision.
Re: Ochs und Junior Annual Calendar at 6k??
co-incidentally i was deliberating between the zenith winsor (all in house + chrono) and the ochs & junior (ETA base) or a MIH watch. the winsor actually works out to be cheaper from my AD than the non-VAT price of the o&j annual calendar.
in the end i went with my heart and made payment to the ox a few hours ago. i've always wanted the anno 50 but could not bear spending 40 large ones on an independent i have tried on only once...
i may hunt down the cal 41 version if i really really like this "non-in-house" model but i'm hoping this will do the job!
the reason why i didn't go with the MIH (despite one popping up near me pre-owned LNIB for... wait for it... $3,750 with 6 months of MIH warranty left) was coz i know the naturally-crooked calendar will probably drive me apeshit crazy.
i'll post pics when i get the watch, and include my overall buying experience - very good thus far.
