BRUSHING A PAM?

Ok... so.

I have a Pam 024. A FANTASTIC example with T dial, perfect bezel action, creamy patina - keeps near perfect time, etc... Oh, it's a stunner.

Part of what makes it so cool is that it has that slight bling from having a polished case. And there's the rub - or lack of rub, I should say.

I'm planning to keep the watch. BUT I miss the brushed case of my 025 that I traded away in a moment of IDIOCY to my good friend Scott the Marine.

Anyway - thinking of brushing the 024. DUMB? Crazy? I've grabbed the scotchbrite pad about a dozen times, but just didn't have the heart, but the occasional bright reflection drives me a bit batty - especially when I'm working around the Team compound or climbing in and out of submarines..

Does this sound like a WUS thread? If I wasn't so drunk, I would make this a poll, but then I believe I would definitely deserve a 3T flogging..

If you are planning on keeping it then do what you like. It is your watch, after all. I wouldn't do it because it will destroy the resale value. Most PAM buyers are purists and don't want their watches modified in any way. Trade it for a 025 if it has to be brushed.

Brushing a T dial 024 will likely get you a good flogging... like Chris said, trade for a 025, or get a 243.

Do it if you like, it`s easily reversible later on if you decide. Hell, I had a 24 once and polished the bezel like the old school first T dials were bored one day. Liked it but when it came time to sell out came the brush.

I like the 24 polished with the brushed bezel to set it off but i'm not quite as BadAss as you Paul! If you do decide it must be done i would send it away and have someone like Jack do it... If you're gonna change it up might as well look perfect!

Keep in mind Paul's watch has been fully polished at least once, so brushing and repolishing might be a little aggressive.

I don't think you had an epsisode of idiocy No worries my friend, you are first in line to get it back when it's time. Always willing to payback a favor to a friend and fellow warrior.

Ok, the 24 is looking great. FWIW I would not brush the case of the 24. You are likely to wanna flip it at some point and the Mod might be a tough sell to any buyers. As it is now, the "T" dial is very desirable and should sell for a fair price for you to move into a 25 if that is your end goal. Plus I think you really liked the titanium. Stay well.

He doesn't have to bring any with him. We always had a lot of them on board. There isn't that much to do on a boat besides clean shit.

I'm training a platoon on a sub here in Groton and the frog Admiral decided to fly out and check out what we were doing. The whole sub worked to polish every nook and cranny..

I have a theory - the bottom of Admirals shoes don't get dirty - because before they walk anywhere, some poor Sailor has scrubbed and shined the deck..
