New Seiko Thread
Re: New Seiko Thread
SPB077 on the way!!!!!

Re: New Seiko Thread
I like all three. I'm glad they did away with the compass rose on the dial ring, and the second crown. Now, if they have a solid case back with the "Alpinist" logo, I'll be tempted to buy one. Probably the green-dialed one on the bracelet.
Re: New Seiko Thread
I like them a lot as well, especially since they got rid of the damned cyclops from the previous versions.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Green Willard arrived this week and Seiko nailed it. Can’t recall being this happy with a watch purchase in a long time

"We'd better synchronize our watches."
Re: New Seiko Thread
They really did. The brushed chapter ring is a nice touch too.MikeyLikesIt wrote:Green Willard arrived this week and Seiko nailed it. Can’t recall being this happy with a watch purchase in a long time
It’s as if they made the watch we all wanted and it needs nothing.
Winning.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Any more info on those new Alpinists? Specs and price.
First alpinist i like. The other versions looked like poop and quality was barely average.
These new ones look hot

Can’t find any info other than those pics. I’m sure the price went up, though.Jeep99dad wrote:Any more info on those new Alpinists? Specs and price.

I really like the green on bracelet.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Are these actually part of the Alpinist line? Or are they similar to the field watches they came out with a year ago?
Re: New Seiko Thread
Good question, Carlo. They were posted on WUS as the “new confirmed Alpinists”, but I would think it odd since they already just updated the line I believe.CarloDWC wrote:Are these actually part of the Alpinist line? Or are they similar to the field watches they came out with a year ago?

Re: New Seiko Thread
Apparently it is... but it isn't exactly new, it was first mentioned in March/April of this year.

Re: New Seiko Thread
The 55th anniversary trilogy watches are in at our local AD.
The hi-beat 62MAS is best of the three, by far. If anyone’s looking, I can intro you for a BoD discount.

After loosing comic style bezel numbers, I think sumo lost some of dna identity (even though number of people love aftermarket inserts). I still prefer "older"style

Re: New Seiko Thread
And here come the rumored Willard variations. Apparently a 55th anniversary LE.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Might be an alternative to the BB58 or at least one you can get your hands on
Re: New Seiko Thread
Love the blue version but all these Seiko LE and reissues starting to get pointless.
