Apart from that, lots of great looking options here.
Agree. I had the SBGW253 from 2years ago and here they are again. Sold it but I am liking the blue dialed titanium model.

I’m trying not to think about this fact....

I’m wearing my 017 now and trying to mentally highlight the differences between the $1.3k version and mine.

The proportions are so much better on the original. It's all dial and crystal.

Thanks - I needed that.

Even though I own the 017 (wearing it now as a matter of fact), I still might pony up for this new one.

Then again, I also own the "other" 62MAS remake, the 053, which I like quite a bit. It meets all my needs for a low(er) cost dive watch.

I guess this raises the question - do I really need a third variation on the same theme?

Ah hell, I'm bitten by the bug. Of course the answer is "yes".

Limited to 5500 pieces.

Seiko SBDC101/SPB149

Thickness: 13.2mm
Diameter: 40.5mm
L2L: 47.6mm

Edit:

Apparently 3 other LE 55th Anniversary models are being released. Their pricing is typical crazy Seiko but they look great

This one looks fantastic.

Anyone know the reference for the black-dialed, 6105-looking watch on the left?

Moral of the story is don't waste almost $4000 on a reissue with a 8L35. Wait a year or so and they'll put one out that may look better for a quarter of the price, with a 6r movement.

I thought we all agreed to stop bringing this up?

I still like my SLA017.

....but I’m still probably going to buy the low cost model.

Is the lower cost version LE or is it going to be an ongoing model?

Stupid question re: new 6105 being 42.5mm... will that be 9 to 3 or does it include the guard/crown.?
