New Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver Black PVD

Post by AtomicTom » Mon Mar 02, 2015 2:34 pm

Did you guys get a chance to see the new Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver Black PVD? The latest Ponto S has it's 43 mm stainless steel case, but with a PVD finish. You also get added orange accents. With not only the inner rotating bezel crown at the 2 o'clock position having orange on it, but also the hour, and second hands being orange rather than red. The dial is black sun brushed with luminescent hands, and markers. With the ML115 automatic movement powering the watch. Straps are leather, and you can evidently add a NATO strap if you like.

Just a couple of pictures...

Who shit the bed on the date wheel again, especially on a PVD model. Let me add, rest of the watch looks terrific!

They both look great, I just hope the red ring on the PVD version matches the hands in real life.

I had one of these for review and I loved the look (SS not the PVD). The dial has awesome depth to it and really comes off as a well made watch. The only issue I had was the leather NATO it came on, which added a lot of extra bulk to the watch and made it unwearable with a dress shirt. I think on the rubber shown in the pics it would be fine though. ML makes their own cases, which is a nice bonus, but they're a bit expensive at retail price.

If DLC holds its value like SS version then it'll be a hell of a watch for 1500~

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I say a shitty date at 6 will most always be better than a date anywhere else on the dial

I am not surprised. I think C-notes has been consulting with them a little.

I tried to like the SS version, but they both just don't appeal to me.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
