Pretty cool comparison.

I like the look of the Tudor a bit more, but the specs are quite similar.

Even so, if the BB had a date, there'd be no contest in my mind. I like Ward as a good value brand, but still.....
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Specs look similar when you simplify things: For example, they make no mention of the grades of the movement. CW uses elabore ETA/Sellita at best while Tudor's movement is a modified top grade. The case descriptions are also generic and misleading: "polished and satin finish". That applies to most watches. I was not impressed with my old C60's finish (and that was at the old price), while the Black Bay is supposed to be closer to the level of a Rolex case.

That would be game over for me. Not just in comparison to the ChrWard but it would jump to the top of my short list

The new CW is a hell of a buy, but the BB blows it away on looks.

If it were a 'Want this, buy that' put together by someone other than ChrWard, it would make total sense. But doing it themselves seems a bit lame.

Red bezel is all they have in common, æsthetically. If that Ch.Wart was around back when I was pining for the BB, still won't consider it.

The ChrWard seems like a decent budget alternative, but it's no Tudor.

This took some balls to do imo.

Balls for sure  ....I've never liked the CWard handset...The Tudor is a pretty good value proposition at its price point..

You've got to factor in the cost of heritage and history IMO. Still, the CW is a nice watch at a great price.

No contest, the tudor wins hands down for me. CW just doesn't appeal to me design wise, looks like a mutant omega seamster mated with a submariner...

Did CW use that color bezel to be a clone ? To get the market that don't want to pay for the price of a Tudor.

it's tacky as shit. i'm a CW fan in general, but this is lame. i work in marketing and i promise you, if anyone tried to do this with our product i would fight it tooth and nail. you never directly compare/contrast like this. it makes you look petty.

the sad thing is that i think it's a great upgrade on the old C60 and a good looking watch. it stands just fine on its own. why tarnish it, especially right after the release, with something like that? if you want this kind of comparison, nudge a place like gear patrol to do one of those "want this, get this" articles. at least then, someone else is doing it.

I totally agree. It's pretty bad, but then again, CW is known for this sort of approach. I'd never own one of their watches for a multitude of reasons.

Whoa Terry, hadn't seen this ! :o Thanks for the look !

Pretty cool seeing the specifications side by side like this, but also the look,
and style of the CW compared to the BB. Seems like they did a really nice
job both inside, and out with everything. ..Will take one of each !

I really like the new CW version so much more. Well done with the upgrades. Id wear it for sure. I also like the white version. The things I like least are the hour hand, brand name on the dial and crown/crown guard area tho none are show stoppers. I don't like the comparo necessarily tho. Seems like trying to justify one self. But to each his own. I don't think someone in the market for the BB would cross shop the CW (not most anyway) and therefore the comparo done by CW itself becomes silly. But I'm sure CW fan love that KoolAid. Too bad because it's a very nice watch and nice value IMhO.
If I wanted a BB but couldnt buy it Id probably get a Raven 42 though. Just my opinion. Big crown no crown guard.

Only if the Kia and the BMW have comparable engines...

Let's face it, the movements are comparable, and I realize that the Tudor may have a higher grade one.
