Omega PO XL

Post by keehna666 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 2:03 pm

...just sold a couple of pieces on the weekend. As a result, I'm now on the prowl for a black or orange bezel Omega PO XL non-chrono version, as I already have one.

Let's see some shots of yours on whatever bracelet or strap you have.

I'm a strap guy at heart, so I rarely use the beautiful bracelet.

The more pics I see here, the more I want a non-chrono version as it represents the classic, clearly defined look I want.

...just shot of my PO Chrono on OEM bracelet as reference. I really want the non-chrono version to augment this one as the clean, crisp non-chrono dial accentuates the Omega classicism that I appreciate.

Got this exactly one week ago and it's giving my Bremont a run for it's money (don't tell Nick English!)

^^Nice. My PO has made me question the need for another dive watch.

I finally got around to purchasing the Omega PO that I was looking for a year ago.

Even though mine were 42mm, I highly prefer the 2500d over the 8500 due to thickness and overall the older style is a classic look opposed to new and shiny.

That's a great comparison shot BBK357. The orange numerals really "pop" when contrasted against the white ones.

Ben, why you ended up selling the blue Ti PO? I thought about picking one up (and selling my 2500 black PO).

For some reason in this watch I liked it better in SS.
The Ti is finished very very well, for what it's worth.
The 8500 is thicker, the hands are longer and I do not like them as well, and the version I had was a little too blingy for me.

A PO is also in my future, likely the orange numbers 42mm version.
I constantly think about trading down to one, and just keeping it as an one watch.

That's something that has me on the fence, the thicker case. Will need to go to the Omega boutique to try it again.

It's a great one watch, but coming from a sub you will have issues with it. My main issue, and it's being picky- is the stupid screw down HEV.

Yeah, I hate that f&*(** extra pusher spoiling the symmetry. I also like the 2500 version more simply because they have an open 6 and 9 on the dial.

I think the 2500 could easily do one-watch duty.

I'm also hoping for a sword hands re-issue of the 2254, but with the 2500d motor. It would be easy to do, just take the current SMPc and change the dial & hands. If Omega was smart, they would do it. Just for me. :)
