This issue has come up over and over again and there never seems to be a consensus.

You know, I'm OK either way it goes but it might not be a bad idea to have a wrist shot forum. I've been looking around and most of the smaller forums have them.

I don't envy you Derek. This is exactly the type of hi powered, hi stress decision that watch forum owners are faced with. Lesser men have turned to the bottle, or worse. What if it doesn't work out? What if members hate you for it? It's a big decision that if it doesn't work out could tear this forum apart like a pack of rabid dingos on a wounded wallaby. My God .... the humanity.

I voted for the one WRUW thread.
But like DMB said, maybe there could be a WOYW (What's On Your Wrist) thread of the day where the shot HAS to be a wrist shot only..... a little variety.

What do you guys think?

Or we could just keep it simple with one thread.

The WOYW thread with some "creative variety" might also spice things up a bit too.

One is not a bad idea, but I like the ones running in the specialized forums. I don't participate in them so my opinion is not worth much, but it's nice to look at.

I am OK with several BUT, one is fine if the alternative is to make a seperate WRUW subforum.

If we only have one, let's just stick it in the main forum, subforum WRUW suck

. I mean I am already going to be in Main or DWF daily, so the thread or threads are already there, going to another sub fora causes more clicks and scrolls, which I thought was what was annoying about having two wruw.

David, I gotta disagree you bud. While you are right that it is common among smaller fora, we are different, so let's keep it that way.

Then again picture whores can talk much, I love multiples.

I agree with Steven that navigating all the various subfora is a pain in the arse. That's why I just use the 'View active topics' and the 'View new posts' shortcut links at the top of each page. When I post a new thread, it is typically in Main (or on occasion, in the Rumble Room).

Having separate forums for Rumble Room and Photography make sense, but so far the specialty sub-fora outside of Divers are not that well attended. I think the personality of the DWC is slowly evolving over time, however. For example, I don't remember so much Panerai excitement back in the earlier days. My impression of this community way back when was that it was more of a 'boutique divers' place than it is now.

It must have something to do with the fact that you are one of 3 members here who is not using the default "subsilver 2" forum style. I bet if you switched to subsilver 2 and tried to vote, it would go through.
