Incoming Seamaster 600

Post by mrsnak » Wed Jun 30, 2010 6:39 pm

Was on my list for a while, but one just came up last night! 601 movement from the 60s. Will date it more precisely when I get it.
Purportedly all original and has been recently serviced (new crystal, I think).
Couldn't pas this beaut up, and, even rarer for me  , is that it's a local buy I pick up in person.

Wow love it. All lot of you guys here have really made an impression on me with the classic dress watches. The Nomos was a modest step in that direction. If I ever go that way again, it will be something classic like this or a Longines or something. Very nice, congrats.

Thanks! The nice thing about these is how affordable they are for the insane quality they were. You can easily wear these with jeans or a suit.

Here is it:

Just picked this up today. Omega Seamaster 600, with a 601 movement dating to 1967. All original except for replacement Omega crystal.
Bought from a friend of a friend from Craigslist in Santa Barbara (which might explain the pristine condition - SB is a wealthy community).
Patina on dial makes my heart flutter.
