Seiko Tuna strap options (GGB)...?
Seiko Tuna strap options (GGB)...?
Hey folks.
I'm looking for options for my 015 Tuna. I have the stock bracelet, which I love but can't wear to work. I have a crappy NATO, works OK but I need some more that are better quality in 22mm. I used to wear it on an Isofrane all the time but I don't have one at the moment.
So... Has anyone tried a gasgasbones? I was shopping on their site but though id check with you guys and maybe some pics would help.
Thanks

Tuna and Isofrane are like peanut butter and jelly. Don't waste time and money on anything else.

Thanks Dave!
There are so many different GGB straps/ do you remember which one you have?
I wanted green or light olive green and there's only one type in 22mm right now. Looks sort of like yours.

That flat vent worked well, I thought. Get some Maratacs and you'll be happy.

Did you ever try the SBBN017 rubber? That thing is sweet!BBK357 wrote:CGSshorty wrote:Tuna and Isofrane are like peanut butter and jelly. Don't waste time and money on anything else.

I love mine on mesh, not sure if you've tried that but it is super comfortable and I think it looks great

Re: Seiko Tuna strap options (GGB)...?
I think a GGB would look great. I use a lot of NATOs again but always reach for a rubber strap once it heats up. NATOs are extremely easy to clean, but I hate how they feel when they get sweat soaked. Sweating in a windy environment makes me cringe when I see the junk that builds up in a bracelet and I clean them every day with a detail brush.
When it comes to watches I really have some serious clean freak nervous twitches. I wonder if the GGB straps would retain moisture like a NATO? I've never owned one.

These are excellent straps. Make sure you get the right length.BBK357 wrote:Has anyone tried any of these nylon/Velcro?

^^^
Should be able to throw a nylon/Velcro in the washer. I would assume that'd fine until the Velcro wears down,

I put mine on a Maratac and it's been pretty comfortable. I also use the super engineer.

I have owned two GGB's and for some reason or another they always looked better in pics. They didn't not fit me right at all.
I like the Z22 strap or one of the GS sbga029 rubber straps the best. But I also like the Timefactors Retro

Mine was the Bremont variety.
As Terry mentioned, the fit is not the best, at least for my 6.5". I'm at the very end of the spectrum.
Its better suited for larger wrists IMO.
But I still dig how they look.
