'Bam, you should've seen it before I sent it in... There were more scratches and scuffs than pristine metal (ordinarily I avoid case refinishing like the plague). What my watchmaker accomplished is nothing short of a miracle.

Now to set about mucking it up again...

Looks brand spankin new. It will be interesting to see it co-exist with the DSSD-which BTW is awesome so congrats on that one too.

Hey Adam - not to sound like a knuckle-head but what does the T < 25 mean on the dial? Is that a reference to the amount of Tritium used in the lume

Yup, that's exactly what that means. Of course in the case of this particular watch, the lume is all but non-existent these days...

Apparently SOMEBODY wasn't paying attention to Trevor's post. It's not often that the guy writes something that is even close to coherent, and it seems you weren't even paying attention. I suggest you use the search function (I've always wanted to say that ... just like Stuffler :monkeypiss: )

Looks great, Adam. Your watchmaker must be pretty bad ass  Cool comparo shot too - I don't think I've seen a shot yet showing the DSSD and the Sub side by side. Pretty stark contrast in the two. I might have to check out the DSSD at an AD sometime soon.

Thanks, buddy. Yes, my guy, Arthur, is the shiznit, but unfortunately he's retiring soon (homeboy is at least eighty). I insisted at first that I didn't want the case refinished, but he assured me that it could be done without taking off too much metal. Well, he was right. The lugs are nice and fat, and the bevel was restored perfectly. I did stick to my guns about not replacing the crown or the crystal, though, both of which were damaged by my wife (I'm sorta sentimental like that, and I think my son'll get a kick out of the story when it's his).

As for the DSSD, I'm almost embarrassed to say that it's nearing 3000M Ghost territory in terms of my affection for it... This one is going to get worn like it was meant to be worn. Period. And when it goes in for its first service, if it doesn't look like my 16800 did before it went it, then I was doing it wrong. ;)

Adam

That is good info to get from someone who flips as many REALLY nice watches as I flip average ones.. Glad you found a no-sh!t keeper to add to the ghost.. Wear that thing out!
