well, if it's been screwed up, that's another story

good luck, Amigo

Thank God I read the whole thread. Personally I think a vintage watch should be a vintage watch. Be minty, but original minty. Browsing thru the thread I thought the pictures were of the watch AFTER the treatment.

T.R. just barely missed a HTFU...
But a fuck-up like that should definitely be corrected!

The guy doing the work told me that all dimensions will stay the same. They just sharpen the edges and such... taking away the dings. This was of great concern to me. He assured me I'd be tremendously pleased with the result.

This is an INCREDIBLE thread that all vintage guys should review. Thanks for digging this up and posting it.
Now I really can't wait to get the SHOM back in hand. Wow.

You are very welcome T.R. - I'd love to see some good macro shots of the edges of your watch after you get it back. The lapping machine and micro wielding is practically magic for a watch case.

Will do. I wish I had some macro before shots of the dings and screwed up self applied brush job. Dammit. I should have asked Edvi (the dude at ABC) to take the shots for me.

Hopefully he isn't at home rubbing his coarse ass butt hairs on it again so it won't need to be rebrushed.
