What are the most comfortable watches in your collection

Post by River Rat » Wed Nov 06, 2013 6:40 am

Whats the most comfortable watches in your collection one that for weight and size you some times don't know it's on your wrist. I have tried large watches and you all ways felt those suckers on the wrist they dig in the wrist and some shirts you got to unbutton the cuffs or it won't go over. Lets see yours here are the four I like the best in my collection that fit just right and some times you forget there on your wrist.

My IWC Mark XV (a thin 38mm watch) is extremely comfortable. My Sinn EZM1 (a thick 41mm watch) is also extremely comfortable. Comfort, for me, has more to do with how a watch fits and its weight than the actual size.

In spite of (or maybe because of) the 'crappy' folded link bracelet, this one

That's a really hard question to answer. I think it all depends on the strap or bracelet any particular watch is on. A nato/zulu can hold one watch perfectly while on another watch be a tad too loose or tight, which means you are constantly aware the watch is there and the same goes for leather/rubber straps and bracelets. The one watch of mine that just sits on my wrist and doesn't seem to move regardless of being on rubber, steel or nylon,is my U1.

With the right strap or bracelet even some of the bigger watches are very comfortable...

I've had 3 Bremonts and as much as I loved the cases, I could never get the right fit..
Same could be said for the Sinn U2, that big deployant was just not comfy...

THE most comfortable watch I have, thanks to the Glidelock clasp, is the Sub-C. Nothing else really compares. Unfortunately, my wrist changes size pretty dramatically at times, so the Glidelock clasp is a lifesaver and a pretty big reason why the Sub-C gets the most wrist time of any of my watches.

Tough one... Would say for just putting it on and forgetting its there my 16613 Rolex Sub would be the most comfy. After that most are about the same, the Breitling Seawolf in steel on a bracelet gets to me by the end of the day, seems there is a sharp spot between bracelet and clasp, same with the Stowa Pro Diver on a bracelet... Big surprise is the new to me UTS 500M, it came on the bracelet and i was going to put an ISO on it soon as it arrived but it's very comfortable on the bracelet so gonna wear it this way for awhile.
