Glycine Combat Chrono?

Post by logan2z » Sun Aug 04, 2013 7:57 am

I've had an Airman Base 22 Purist on the brain for a while but just stumbled upon the Combat Chrono and think it looks pretty cool. Not completely sure about the red gold hands/numerals, however, but it seems to work in the photos. I like that it's a little beefier than the regular Combat Sub at 43mm in diameter and 14.6mm thick.

Has anyone seen one of these in the metal? There's very little about it on the 'net at the moment.

Pics stolen from the web...

Haven't Andrew. Even looked around, and like you said, hard to find out about.
Looks awesome though, and the gold, along with red actually adds some extra
attitude even imho. There are a lot of cool touches with this one that really grab
your attention honestly.

I like that one. They take a terrible beating when it comes time to flip it so buy carefully.

I dig it. I am not a fan of gold, but the numerals are tastefully done and look goo IMO.

I know, one of the things that keeps me from pulling the trigger on one. I don't tend to flip my watches but it's nice to know you won't take a beating if you decide to sell.

Solidly built, but you will take a beating on resale. Maybe you misread Chris' comment.

I didn't misread it, I just wrote a confusing response. I meant that it's nice to know when you buy a watch that you won't get killed on resale. I know that's not the case with a Glycine, which is why I said that's "one of the things that keeps me from pulling the trigger on one". Sorry for the confusion.

That's a very good looking watch, I'm gonna have to take a look at those...

Yeah you'll get a small beating but it's not like you're buying a Linde Werlin.

Beautiful looking watch and like Jay said @ least it isn't a LW that would break the bank on resale.

I would buy it if the price was right. Not worried as these really are discounted in many places.
My Incursore was obtained in a trade, never owned one but the deal came out of no where so I bit
I actually decided to flip it, then just could not and with drew at last moment when buyer refused to give a verified address. Now, it has gotten more wrist time than almost anything else. Love it.
Some watches are worth keeping especially if they make you happy wearing them.
Price I paid though is less than a Parnis with sapphire and eta mod.

Nice and clean, but it appears a bit thick - this would be my only dig. I like their Combat series lineup.

But I have to agree... find one on the boards and let someone else take the beat down.
