It's either rare, and collectible, and the price is justified -or- Dude found it in the bottom of a drawer in the kitchen and said "what the hell, let's test the B.T. Barnum theory that there is a sucker born every minute. $1300 sounds like a good number."

Personally, I don't care if it's rare. It looks like shit, and I would never pay $1300 for a watch that looks like shit.

Not much to add, other than they did a decent 1967 Reissue of this version a few years ago, assume that original model had some significance?
