I always had to inflate prices there. It's the car salesman approach. You know they are going to offer a crumpled up $20 and an empty gum wrapper. If you don't make them think higher price from the get go, it ends up being an uphill battle. I know there is a large sales base there, but for 1 reasonable offer or "I'll take it", I'd get 10 ridiculous low ball offers. It's draining to deal with. I always got offers 2-3 days after I'd mark the thread sold on almost every sale I've made. I even had that happen 24 hours after I sold the Marinemaster strap, and it was marked sold less than an hour after it was listed.

I got one yesterday that said "I know it says you sold this a couple months ago. but I was wondering if that fell through"

All these stories are why I don't make a practice of flipping watches. I've sold exactly two watches, both on WUS, and one went great but the other was a nightmare.
only accurate watches are interesting

It seems DWC polices itself pretty well. At least from what I've seen in my short time here.

It's an argument that should hold zero weight, seeing as the circumstances for the sale are potentially completely different.
Full transparency can be beneficial to competition in the market for all existing sales (the reason you have to list a price for everything in the first place), but past sales should have no impact on present sales in that way. You don't demand some store sells things to you at the same price as another having a "going out of business sale", do you?
I've sold quiet a bit from WUS and never experienced that. I've also never had a lot of lowball offers- some, but not enough fore to get upset about it.
I still stand on I want to see a ballpark figure for a watch.

I put my name back to Heath after my name change on here since most already know me by my alias Heath. Luckily you are the only one that has found me out.

Not only that, but if I had a nickel for every $500 watch I had listed on WUS that someone offered me $200 less than asking for, I'd have a buttload of nickels.
This is true! I'm all about negotiating when needed, but some of those folks have no class at all.

I can't believe you just posted the middle finger here. This is a family oriented watch forum. You are banned here as well.

You can always set up a proxy ISP using one of the websites and make a new user ID. Then post up a thread saying "hey check out my new super awesome watch" and fill in with pictures. Wait an hour and then change the photos to gay porn.
