The MR2 was the most tossable. But so were both the front drive hatches very tossable. Very entertaining to swing out the front driver's rear ends under power. The Porsche simply had solidly planted serious speed. It was like a train when the MR2 was a dart. It screamed for more power though the mid-engine layout was brilliant. The new Cayman S should solve that. The 991 conversion I posted a week ago even better.

I don't flip cars near as much as I do watches thankfully. And, imho, every time I buy a car it is better than the one I replaced otherwise there would have been no point getting it.

So by that analogy my favourite car is my 2013 Infiniti G37 sedan. Can't see replacing it for a long time.

Although if I had to pick one that I did really enjoy it was a 1993 Acura Integra. Lots of fun to drive and I had it several years but needed more room.

Edit, fresh pic. Basically it is a car.

And we can throw in the worst POS car I ever had, my first, a 1973 Fiat X 1/9. What a pile of expensive to fix junk. :cussing:

I used to have a '91 Camaro that I missed, but I finally moved on from that feeling when I bought my GTO in '07.

2006 Scion TC. It ran well but it rattled and everything had a noise.

Did she make you get rid of it because it's not the 5 door? My wife doesn't like getting our daughter in and out of the GTO, but she'd never ask me to sell it.

Exactly. The R32 was not available as a 5 door in the US, otherwise I would still have it.

You should get a current Golf R. Although the next one should be even hotter.

I would if I could. I blew the budget on the Family Truckster for the wife and kids. I lease myself a GMC Terrain that is more budget friendly, but hardly exciting.

The new R should be insane. I'm really loving my 11' GTI.

zepp21 wrote:Not a car I owner but one my dad's. 1966 Mustang. Bought it when he was 18 and owned ever since. Just restored it since it had been sitting since the 80's. Full body off restoration. We're getting ready to drop the engine/trans in then new wheels to finish it off. He took out the 289 when he was 19 (dumbass) and put a 302 in it. Since it wasn't original and will stay in the family, we put power steering, 5 Spd, new gears, and will put a 302 stroked out to 347.

Bad pic but this is it after we took it to have the top installed.

Maybe a CJ5 and you'd stop buying Doxa's, Mike.

My '65 mustang back from high school 84/85. Very clean inside and out and a great little 289 under the good.

This reminds me - the worst, but one of my favorite, cars I've ever owned was this CL55. It was actually my daily driver when I had the M5 as well (got tired of driving manual lol)...and of course, that made me sell the M5 for the first time, because it's just not right your daily driver has more power than the toy.

On average, it was at the dealer every 3 weeks for one thing or another (thankfully, always under warranty during the duration of my ownership). By the end, the rear headrests would not come up with the button (but would always come up when you put the seat belt buckle in)...just bizarre electronics issues.

But when it was working right, oh man...the power, the noise, and the sheer lunacy of throwing a 4,000+ pound car around a 90 degree corner at 55+ and having zero body roll...that made the ownership headaches worth it. It was the car that brought me to love and respect AMG, and it has sold me 2 more AMGs since.

M5 and AMG CL55? Simultaneously? B-A-L-L-E-R.....
