Re: Post your Seiko Mods
I still want another modded monster (srsly). That one with the MKII dial looks good.

Swapped hands with a "White Knight." I didn't understand why the Knight had black hands on an otherwise all silver dial, and the SKXA35 needed the black hands to tie in with the painted black surrounds for the markers.

They both made more sense to me after the swap. I later sold the Knight because I didn't find the bracelet comfortable - the diver's extension kept digging into my wrist.

All long gone.

Re: Post your Seiko Mods
Are the new Monsters easily modded also? It looks like the only real difference is the new movement, correct?
Re: Post your Seiko Mods
Roar modded his new Monster to a Speedmaster "homage."
Re: Post your Seiko Mods
Seiko Modding is really big on the forums.. I've been a fan of MkII since I started this path to watch loving and obviously liked Seikos all around.. when I had the opportunity to have a little of both I immediately pulled the trigger.. love my Mod..

Here are three of mine. Replaced dials, hands, bezel inserts, crystal and all seals. Color chapter rings are new replacement. Black ones are originals.

This is my SNZG15. I did a left hook mod to it. But since the date wheel has 31 'points' on it, it's not divisible into 360 evenly, so it ends up not centered in the window. Some day I'll get around to fixing that with a dateless dial. And indexing the chapter ring.
