New Here and My Omega

Post by Blaine » Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:17 am

Hope this finds you all well! David; aka DMB told me about the forum after my recent transaction with him. Not new to watch forums, but new here and see some familiar names as well. What a GREAT site  I also wanted to say, though redundant I am sure, that my transaction with David was terrific  I could not be happier. I took my Seamaster to my Omega Master Watchmaker by me for a pressure test and timing. It passed the pressure test no problems and he asked if I knew the service history as it was running as though it had been serviced recently. The amplitude was outstanding and running within spec on the + side. This is circa 1999 from the SN# so whether it was serviced @ some point or not, certianly speaks volumn for Omega! It has a lttle built in wabi, but to my liking and the patina is awesome! I owned a newer verison with surrounds and found it difficult to read, searching for this model was a goal. Throw in a few extra Omega items, courtesy DMB and what a nice kit!

Thanks for listening and looking forward to more visits here

Hey, welcome to DWC Blaine!
You got yourself a kickass piece there. You should forget about David though, he`s all high on Rolex now :bananastoner: Probably t-bagged your Omega before sending it off too...I`d recommend you give it a thorough scrub before wearing it, you know..just to be on the safe side
Looking forward to your posts dude!

Welcome Blaine. Thanks for stopping by, and congrats on the watch. Plenty of Omega love around here for sure.

Hope you find the place fun and informative. Keep in mind we can be a bit juvenile at times, but it's all in good fun and we have a great group of people here. Always glad to add one more.

We won't even hold it against you that David brought you here.

Beautiful watch and welcome to the forum! Oh and don't worry I heard David t-bags all of his watches. I think he calls it "homemade wabi".

Welcome Blaine, glad to see you posting. As I told you the other day, I'm very happy that you found the watch to your liking. I always get a little nervous when I sell an older piece. I'm gonna miss that one. It has a killer look, without being too beat up. You are the 4th DWC member to have owned that watch. We love to try and keep them in the family. Enjoy it and hope to see you around here often.

BTW, I only TBag the chinese quartz stuff.

I do like that watch. I tried one on with the OEM rubber band and felt it could be The One. Then I looked at my bank statement and bought a Blue Mako.

Welcome!
