I understand what you are saying, but these are for a different customer. A guy restoring a vintage Rolex wouldn't use an aftermarket bracelet just because there are cheaper options available. If you are going for a complete Pre-V package the price of these straps is not not really an impediment.

Nothing except they are OEM and in perfect condition. There were very few made in the first place and most of those were used up as there was not the huge aftermarket strap market there is now. Guys like Micah and Greg Stevens have been making straps for a relatively short amount of time.

Same field? I'm all about buying the 'original/OEM, etc' and I believe that there are plenty of people who would call us crazy for buying 5K+ watches, but... 3K for a relatively thin leather strap?
