Since they are adding in more toxins, you may want to double strap that baby!!River Rat wrote:Rick I got a bund strap I will send you for you own health if you are not sending your watch in for case replacement. It will keep it from touching the skin.I just want to save a DWC brother from his own demise.Just PM me and it's for free it's black for a 20mm lug I want to save your life

I have heard they are recalling Bund straps because the chemicals used in the tanning process have caused cancer in river rats.andrema wrote:Since they are adding in more toxins, you may want to double strap that baby!!River Rat wrote:Rick I got a bund strap I will send you for you own health if you are not sending your watch in for case replacement. It will keep it from touching the skin.I just want to save a DWC brother from his own demise.Just PM me and it's for free it's black for a 20mm lug I want to save your life

Re: Warning From The Surgeon General
They need to test the LD50 of these bronze watches hope this is not above your head.
In toxicology, the median lethal dose, LD50 (abbreviation for “Lethal Dose, 50%”), LC50 (Lethal Concentration, 50%) or LCt50 (Lethal Concentration & Time) of a toxin, radiation, or pathogen is the dose required to kill half the members of a tested population after a specified test duration. LD50 figures are frequently used as a general indicator of a substance's acute toxicity. The test was created by J.W. Trevan in 1927.[1] It is being phased out in some jurisdictions in favor of tests such as the Fixed Dose Procedure;[2] however the concept, and calculation of the median lethal dose for comparison purposes, is still widely used. The term semilethal dose is occasionally used with the same meaning, in particular in translations from non-English-language texts, but can also refer to a sublethal dose; because of this ambiguity, it is usually avoided. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has begun to approve alternative methods to LD50 in response to research, cruelty concerns, and the lack of validity/sensitivity of the test as it relates to humans. "RELAX! Kids swallow bronze Anonimos all the time!"
"Really?"
"Sure! If she craps out a Benarus, a Magrette and two Helsons, then you can start worrying, huh?"

Re: Warning From The Surgeon General
No worries folks...Helson and Benarus have decided to provide a new reference card to the owners of their "bronze" watches. These guides will help the owners ("victims") to gauge their Helson/Benarus "experience" and determine their level of "enjoyment".
**************************************************************
I received an advanced copy:
To our loyal customers (e.g. victims), customers are our second top priority. In keeping with our pledge to keep up with trends, we have added "bronze" watches to our watch lines.
To gauge your enjoyment of our product, wearers may show acute symptoms of copper poisoning that include: vomiting, hematemesis (vomiting of blood), hypotension (low blood pressure), melena (black "tarry" feces), coma, jaundice (yellowish pigmentation of the skin), and gastrointestinal distress.
When you get the opportunity, please sign and return the attached warranty/medical disclaimer card.
We appreciate your business and look forward to another great year of producing "Swiss" watches.
Thank you!
