Doxa Project Aware II

Post by RALAustin » Wed Dec 21, 2011 11:07 am

Lots of fun over on WUS. Doxa just announced a new Project Aware watch in the same NUMA turquoise but with the Project Aware logo. 300 of them to be built. The original NUMA owners are already grousing and the Doxa admin has had to post responses in half the postings. Glad I got the original NUMA and glad I sold it when I did.

Blah blah blah Doxa sucks... what else is new

Though I did see a whole bunch of vintage Doxa at lunch today, and those are another story.

Is this to raise awareness of the working conditions for the factory workers?

The Turquoise was just ...so very turquoise. It was definitely fun and had this dial been in a 600t case I would probably still have it, but the 1200t case never worked very well for me in terms of the weight and thickness, and I found myself grabbing the 750t Carib or one of the 600t's instead. I think if it had an orange minute hand and regular orange and black lettering on the bezel it would have worked much, much better for me, but the torquiose on the bezel just seemed a bit too much, oh I don't know .... turquoise.

I could see myself getting tired of turquoise pretty quick although before I got the Divingstar I thought the same thing about yellow and for a while now I've been entertaining the thought of picking one up again
