Re: R.I.P. Noah Fuller
I just get back from visiting my father during his 6 hour chemo session and this is the first post i read! Noah, friend of the forum and the whole watch community with a loving family is gone! Sickens me to think about these trinkets we all buy, sale and trade but through it all we really build friendships that will last. Noah was a great man and he packed alot of life into a sort amount of time on this earth, you will be missed my friend.....RIP

Re: R.I.P. Noah Fuller
Hi, guys.
The following is a post I have just done on the SCWF. I thought it would be appropriate also to reproduce it in here:
"
I don't even have words to express how I'm feeling upon first entering the forum today and read this thread.
I had a terrible day at work. Only had a chance to first open the SCWF main forum today at 7:45pm (Brazil's local time). As the first thing I read is this R.I.P. thread......
My story with Mr. Fuller goes back to 2008, upon my first discovery of the good ole' bluey SCWF. I was dumbfounded by the great variations of the legendary 6309 cushion case diver seen on the forum. At that time it was all the rage you guys talked about.
In my sheer ignorance I first thought those were OEM variations made from Seiko. Then, I could not believe that actually there was a guy that was the artist behind such a genius creation. Yep, that was Noah Fuller himself.
Then I sent him my first email of a thousand next ones, being the last a few weeks ago. On that very first email I began congratulating him for his artistry and proceeded to introduce myself. He took me as a crazy guy at first - a feeling that I'm sure a lot of you that has been in touch with me for a number of times privately can sympathize with his initial sentiment .
But then I insisted on exchanging emails with him, until one day I found him available at the MSN.....I invited him for a chat there and the rest is history.
Without any promises from my part to be taken as a customer of his products, the man wasted 3 hours of his daytime with me on that MSN chat. We started typing but upon 15 minutes into chatting we decided to continue by talking to the mic and speakers. We had a great time, laughed hard at various subjects, including watches in general. He was a well balanced person and his existence wasn't solely geared towards watches. He had a funny curiosity about my country, especially Rio and the beautiful beaches, girls in general (it was way before his marriage) and all the crazy parties associated with this part of my country, which is a bit overrated.
From then on, I was sold. I became a fan. First, a fan of his work. Then, a fan of his artistry. And finally, I became a fan of Noah as a GENTLEMAN.
I drove him crazy over the Tsunami launch. It was right at the time he was first diagnosed with this "C" disgrace, still back in HK. I ended up buying 6 Tsunami watches from him, and spread the word about his most awesome creation to the local WIS community. It was with great pleasure that he posted here on the forum that Brazil had the greatest amount of Tsunamis than any other part of the world. My friends embraced his project with a passion. They prefered HIS creation over the legendary 6309. This means A LOT. To have a conosseurs prefering your homage over the original design has to mean something. It means you're winner! You're a champion! Those are epithets that quite fit Noah Fuller with perfection.
So to say that I'm deeply sad and touched by this terrible news would be a big euphemism.....devasted is more like it.
I only hope that my good friend Jake B. finds the strenght necessary to overcome the loss of his soul brother and to keep on with his herritage. In my mind, I think the biggest compliment that we, as WIS and friends, could pay to Noah's memory is to keep on embracing what he created as continuous patronage of his designs, products, mods and such, all through Jake, who is hte other half of Noah's enterprise as 10watches.com. This is the best way we can keep our good brother Noah around amongst us.
To finish this, I'd like to copy and paste an exerpt that was taken from a thread at The Dive Watch Connection forum taht perfectly describes who was Noah Fuller:
"No not because of Red white and Blue but ...
July 4th was the day I moved to Hong Kong
I was going crazy with 7yrs in Taiwan and so with a months notice I sold every thing I owned and took off to HK with $4000us in my pocket and no where to live and no job ....
I wanted to do three things get a bike Bigger than 125cc get one of those big new fangled flat LCD TV's and learn how to make watches .... "
Nash Chris, the original forumer who quoted Noah on this has summed perfectly, when he finished his post saying this:
"There are two kinds of people in this world. Noah is a doer. "

Noah, farewell my friend!
You'll be deeply missed by those who loved and admired you as a husband, son, brother and friend.
And to all of you my SCWF friends, I humbly thank you very much for reading this.
This has to be the saddest day for WISdom...
Regards,
CHRIS "

Re: R.I.P. Noah Fuller
What an incredibly sad day. He will be missed.
I bought a Nite MX10 off MWR from a guy and it turned out to be Noah's pal, Jakob. I was buying the last of his Nite watches stock. I told him we all loved Noah here and were thinking of him during recovery. I was told he probably wouldn't be returning. But I didn't expect it this soon. This was maybe 4 days ago.
RIP Noah. You will be very missed around here.
