They always do something goofy with the bracelet, don't they?DocHollidayDDS wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 11:32 pmThat’s…interesting.
Sort of an uneven rounded octagon bezel, and the dreaded PCLs. I like my SPB187 much more than this, it’s a far more classic look.

My God these are terrible. Like a cheap version of the Aquaracer.
Re: New Seiko Thread
Not feeling these at all. That handset is killing it for me.

I like the side profile and thinness but everything else about these suck.

Hopefully this will migrate on to all Seiko bracelets.

Now THAT’S cool.
Well done seiko!

While it’s less thick than the MM300 ratchet clasp we’re all familiar with, it looks to use the same cheap, thin extension piece but just on the other end. Will need to wait for actual reviews before I get excited.59yukon01 wrote:Hopefully this will migrate on to all Seiko bracelets.

It's still an improvement over their cheap stamped divers extension clasps.hoppyjr wrote:While it’s less thick than the MM300 ratchet clasp we’re all familiar with, it looks to use the same cheap, thin extension piece but just on the other end. ^^^
Get rid of the Seiko 5 and make them a 200m rated Dive watch again with the 4r movement, screw down crown, and drilled lugs and these would fly off the shelf.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Yeah, it’s pretty sad that these are 13.9mm thick but only have 100m WR, get a push-pull crown and Hardlex crystal, yet still priced at nearly $490 (I’ll assume no one would dare buy one of these at full retail, however).
Is it any wonder why microbrands around $500 are flourishing? Seiko seems to have lost their way when it comes to the affordable market.

Interesting comment on the microbrands. I’ve always preferred Seiko or Citizen before a microbrand, but I think you are correct. The stuff I’ve seen lately from Christopher Ward and Nivada is pretty nice, and the Seiko Prospex line is getting more expensive by the minute.
