Here's what you get when you liquid fill a G Shock. Unreal depth and clarity. One of the reasons I never really got into G's... lack of clarity. Can't stand to have to squint to read one.
From my buddy CG:

Guys I am stupid enough to filled my GX-56 with hydraulic oil then I find out it should be filled with silicone oil...........the little yellowish oil make the screen looks a little dimmer but everything
works except for the Auto EL. I am going to get some silicone oil tomorrow to replace the hydraulic oil hoping the Auto EL would be back to normal.

And hey, let's face it, the astroglide would be the coolest thing about the watch!

I'm looking for a nice 'subject' to work on - if anyone has one to toss my way for a few bucks, let me know!
I'm curious, though that you can hydro a movement with hands - I'll have to look into it a little more. Those movements must have a more 'tourquey' engine to account for the asstro glide.

Yeah, he's done some top mods inc one with a red face (which I can't find a link to). Did you see the pressure he tested it up to
