Well, I got my new Marcello Hyrdox earlier this week.

Here are a few of my quick thoughts.

The case is awesome. It has a bead blast finish which is quite nice. Most of my watches are brushed, so this is a nice change. The lugs taper down to hold the watch to the wrist. It never slides down. For reference my wrist is about 7 3/4", and it fits perfect.

The bezel is 60 clicks, and it precise all the way around. The only downside is that there is no lume on the bezel.

I really like the crown guards, and the crown works flawlessly.

The bracelet is a work of art. It is substantial and feels great. The clasp is similar to the Sinn large deployant, if not a little better. It is smooth fastening. The only downside is that there is no micro adjustments with this type of bracelet, but then again, the shape of the case holds the watch head perfectly to my wrist. The watch does not slide around at all. Also, the diver extension is quite substantial as well. The braclet also reminds me a little bit of the bracelet on my Omega PO 45.5. I like this one better as it does not taper to the clasp. It is a full 22mm all the way through. I also got the rubber strap but have not had a chance to fit it to the watch yet. It is taper at the case, and also has a really great deployant similar to the metal bracelet, but different.

The dial is really cool as well. I often wonder why more companies don't make the dial more three dimensional. This one has a lot of 3d relief to it. The dial reminds me of a cross between the PO and AT. The lume is C3 on the hands and markers. I checked it last night, and it does last a good 9 hours, so they have improved on their weak lume issues from the past.

As far as timing goes, i set the watch at 6:00 AM yesterday and as of now about 30 hours later it is keeping perfect time, it has not gained nor lost a single second. I had it on the winder overnight.

On to the pictures. Not the best, another grey day here in the northest US...

The minute hand and markers are really red, not the orange that shows in the picture - sorry about that....

My overall impression is that it is an excellent build watch, and it keeps great time, has very good lume, and I am somehwhat a lume freak. Granted it does take design queues from other watches most notably the PO and the AT, but I think that there are some unique aspects as well.

Yep, I dig that dial and I see definite IWC and Omega design cues there as well. That bracelet and clasp look very well constructed. What movement does Marcello use in these?

I haven't opened it up yet, but their website says it is a 2824-2 but no reference to which grade. Not sure if it is COSC, there was no certificate in the box, but like I mentioned it has kept perfect time for the last 35 hours now.

If you're going to take design cues from anywhere, you could do a lot worse than the AT. Very cool watch!

I forgot to mention that my pictures show a somewhat orange minute hand and 12 o'clock markers. In real life it really is a deep red.

I like it! I'm a lume freak too, and I was gonna ask about the bezel markers at 12 o'clock. I was thinking I really like the crown guards. Is the bracelet micro-adjustable? Looks like a sliding clasp.... Thanks!

Sorry. No lume photos as of now. The lume is actually quite good. It lasts at least 8-9 hours.

I think they watches only come in bb or pvd.

There are no micro adjustments to the clasp. Luckily for me the case shape really hugs the wrist.

The time keeping is awesome. Still at the exact time after more than two days.

I defintely liking this watch alot! Honestly though, if it came in a brushed finish I would have picked one of these up already, plus in the release pics it looked like the bracelet had a polished edge which would have been sweet with a brushed finish. To many watches I have owned that were BB'ed I had to get them refinished since I beat the hell out of them.

Post up pics of the rubber bracelet when you get a second. If am not mistaken it is the same style one that came on the Diavolo which is super sweet. And the clasp on your bracelet is the same one on the Diavolo.

Great pickup and all of the Marcello's I have owned have kept great time! So enjoy the watch and let me know how it is doing long term!!!

The lug to lug looks to be about 45mm. I will try to get pictures of the rubber strap and post them up as well. The buckle on the Hydrox rubber looks to be the same size as their Diavolo rubber strap. So the buckle on the rubber strap is smaller than the one on the metal buckle. No dive buckle entension though...

Very cool! i like especially the dial, the bezel bracelet! its in an easy to wear size too. I would prefer a brushed finish but overall a well done watch. Hows the bezel action?
