I’m usually a big fan of Sinn, but how is this an improvement?

It appears to be the T2 with only 500M WR instead of 2,000M . And the generally disliked U2 style hand set instead of the unique hands of the T2, or using any of the other diver types.

I can’t even comment on the “ gold bronze” version intelligently. Was there a giant gap in diver metallurgy that was crying out to be filled with something not quite utilitarian but not quite precious either?

After the home run of the Pro models, I fear we are seeing the gentrification of Sinn…

They work fine in practice. You have to press the whole bezel down to turn it (it’s on a spring or something), and when you do it becomes very easy to turn. Easier than many bezels with click springs.

They’re far more functional than the seamaster scallops.

I like that T50. I own a blue T2 and while 2000m is cool, 500 is certainly enough. I like the matched date wheel too. I could see that watch being a very easy daily wearer.

The “gold bronze” or whatever… I dunno. And I’ve always thought buying watches with scratched dials was like buying those “distressed” jeans where someone in the factory in china went to town with a grind wheel to make holes in them.

T50 is a completely different case design from the T2... much better case design IMHO with more traditional lugs. Also a more traditional dial/hands and thinner case - 500M WR is plenty. I think it is a more attractive overall package than the T2 which is a bit more purpose built.

I'm guessing the U50 has been a huge sales success, and they are trying to expand upon this with the T50. Similar to the U50 line but bezel/handset makes it just different enough that some might buy both.

Yeah, I see no issues with what they are doing. I think the depth and breadth of their product offerings is pretty astounding given the size of the company. They have dozens and dozens of different product lines and each line has numerous variations. Their current dive watch section alone has the 206, EZM3, EZM13.1, T1, T50, U1, U50, U2, U212 and UX, with the color variations counting something like 35 different sub models. Compare that with Omega which is a larger company likely by several orders of magnitude.

Very disappointing but this is something we should be used to. It seems like their new releases in the last 7-10 years are either home runs or swing-miss- pants fell down.

It’s exactly the same shape as the U50. The cases are not exactly the same, though. Bezels are not transferable, for example.

The U50 is still a relatively heavy feeling dive watch on its thick bracelet. Weighs around 155 grams. Have not seen T50 weights yet on bracelet but the T2 weighed around 105 grams and the T50 could be lighter. I’ve worn other small Ti divers and they just have a different feel. Some like it, some don’t. I love the feel of Ti watches. I grab my FXD most of the time because it feels great.

I won’t sell my U50P for it but think it is different enough. They will probably make more interesting variations.

My only disappointment is there is no 44mm version. Being 41mm like the U50 design I was hoping for a 44mm case like the U1 but with a thinner case back.
Love my T1/T1B but they’re not exactly a strap friendly design with the thicker non drilled lugs.

Would anyone else would like a 44mm T50 design?
