Yours, the MM200 and white/silver willard glacier dials are really nice. The 62mas and MM200 wear really well for smaller wrists. I'm starting to think the MM200 could be a better daily wear watch than my MM300 as it's quite big and bulky on the bracelet.

Re: New Seiko Thread
I agree. While I really like my MM300, the 62MAS reissues are just really easy daily wear watches.
I also own an SLA017 (the 8L powered LE 62MAS reissue) which wears equally well, but is a bit too nice to beat up on as a daily driver.
The SBDC165 splits the difference nicely.
As an aside, I added a MM300 clasp to my SBDC165 for on-the-fly adjust-ability. I'm not a fan of those fixed-length diver extensions Seiko incorporates on many of their divers. The MM300 clasp is much more useful. I even prefer it over those Strapcode ratchet clasps as the Seiko clasp at least looks normal length when closed. Those Strapcode clasps take up the entire underside of my wrist.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Interesting as I was going to look into replacing the MM300 ratchet clasp with one from the MM200 bracelet as I heard it's a direct fit. I find the ratchet clasp a bit too thick, but perhaps I should give it another shot. I find the bracelet on the MM300 to be a challenge in general as it's heavy and I can't seem to get a good fit by adding/removing a link or adjusting the micro adjustment. I can get a good fit if I release the ratchet once notch, but I don't love the way it looks. I think a rubber strap is my best bet on that watch but I just really like the way it looks on the bracelet.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 8:11 amI agree. Re: New Seiko Thread
Yes, I agree that walking around with a clasp partially extended as an every day type thing would look kind of odd. For occasional use, fine, but not daily.Mr_Pacman wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 8:15 amInteresting as I was going to look into replacing the MM300 ratchet clasp with one from the MM200 bracelet as I heard it's a direct fit. I think one of the issues with MM300 bracelet is it has relatively long links. I was able to find a good fit using trial and error between adding / removing links and using the micro adjusts on the clasp, but I can see how not everyone is so lucky.
If the clasp on your MM200 is the same as on my 62MAS reissue, you should be able to swap them pretty easily. The clasps are exactly the same width. The MM300 is a tiny bit thicker than the standard Seiko diver's clasp, but only about 2mm by my measurement.
I'm not sure, however, you are going to gain too much extra adjust-ability though in doing the swap. The "standard" Seiko diver flip lock has that "wetsuit extension" thing on the 6 o'clock side of the clasp which adds length to that side of the bracelet. It pushes the entire clasp toward the 12 o'clock side.
When I hold the two clasps side by side and aligning them at the flip lock rivet, the standard Seiko diver's clasp is the same overall length as the MM300 clasp with the same number of micro adjustment holes.
Where you may gain comfort is the standard clasp has the hinge between the "wetsuit extension" bit and the flip lock, almost like a half bracelet link. The MM300 clasp is stiff across its entire length. I've heard of some people actually increasing the bend on a MM300 clasp a bit to make it conform a little better to their wrist. I'm lucky that my wrist are a bit more rectangular so the standard bend conforms to me OK. .
Bottom line, if you have the MM200 clasp handy, do the swap and see which one is more comfortable for you. No modification is needed and the only tool necessary is a toothpick. I didn't even have to add or remove a bracelet link when I did the swap from the standard clasp to the MM300 clasp on my 62MAS reissue.

Seiko Introduces a Pair of Solar Diver GMTs
the case measures 45mm in width, 13.2mm in thickness and a very long 51.8mm lug to lug. good for some of you meaty-wristed bastards out there who complain about all the 38-40mm watches coming out nowadays.

I like it Tom, what about you? At 3,000 Euros it’s a bit steep but it’s sharp looking.AtomicTom wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 1:02 pmGuys, have you seen Seiko's newest Speedtimer Mechanical Chronograph?

In situations like this I think a lot of people just look for a nice sporty
looking black PVD coated watch to scratch an itch a watch like this
might cause.

I’m with you, $3000 is a bit up there. And I honestly don’t get what
is behind the pricing. But it’s a nice looking watch thst’s for sure.
Something else very cool was hearing what you had to say, so thanks
so so much once again !!!

These new King Seikos look nice. The 37mm size of the previous model kept me from thinking too seriously about them, but 39 should be just about perfect. Could do without the 3 days text on the dial, but oh well.

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
