Sinn Question: this or this

Post by aikiman44 » Wed Feb 08, 2023 5:20 am

I own the U2 White (non lume dial), but it would have to go for the Solebox.
The White is limited to 150. The Solebox to 10, of which I’ve been offered number 1. Well see if it’s at the right price.
Limited doesn’t mean much, but 1 of 10 is unique.

Being #1 of 10 is the only thing going for it, in my opinion.

I guess if you own solebox this would be nice.

if the white is a lume dial, then the white. If not, solebox.

Very legible vs not very legible. Easy choice for me (U2)

Don’t let the 1/10 fool you. People don’t care too much about rarity these days. It’s about how it looks. Now if you like the look, go for it. Personally, the white is much better with a much easier dial to read. The ghost dial would probably drive me nuts after a few days.

FYI, I had a “rare” Sinn “type W” 1/50 that had an amazing dial with a 7750 mvmnt and that thing still took me a while to sell, and the the guy I bought it from had it posted for about a year before I bought it.

White.

I’ve had a couple black out watches and didn’t like them at all for regular use.

Do you do SpecOps and need a watch that conceals? If not, go for legibility

I would go for the Solebox but make sure its not a replica. I've seen a couple pics of replicas.

Wow, just did a Google search of the watch. So surprised there are fakes of it!

Do what feels good to you Jay! I kind of like the solebox, but if it’s a collaboration with a company you don’t care about it might be a little weird. Having said that I bought some new balance sneakers that were a collaboration with casa blanca without knowing shit about casa blanca, just liked the way they look.

In the end, will it make you happy? That’s all that really matters!

Definitely the white. The 1/10 thing does nothing for me.

Form should follow function. The black on black thing isn't for me.
