Man this has to be a scam.

I list some of my cheaper watches on a local free ad site and I have a bit of success and get quite good prices for low value pieces, there is always the added bonus of local deals with no shipping.

So I listed that Rose gold Seiko and got a txt message asking for the price and photo's.

By the way, I don't understand those scammers. Why the hell don't they just offer the right amount of money? Everyone will know something is wrong once they receive a bid that's almost twice as high as the listed price.

Of course something is a miss. But if the funds arrive in your paypal account, then i dont see how you can lose. Its only an email address to give out, nothing more.
I cant see the angle yet, unless the courier comes before payment is made, i just dont get it.

I thought Paypal had tightened things down a bit, maybe not. I'd be thinking that the account he pays from is probably bogus. By the time the watch is shipped, Paypal credits the account and says it was invalid. SOL.

Sending feces in the mail is just plain vanilla. Its so played out. I expect more out of you.

Think outside of the box. Sending shit is just too easy. Squat over the box and you are done.
Sending an animal skull on the other hand is a little more work. Jamie may still have it from his BBQ.

Ask him to send you and email from the paypal address. Then insist on holding the money for 7-10 days. Once in your account, transfer it out.

If everything pans out, you score. If something doesn't, no foul...you still have the watch...

I'm learning a lot here.

I posted a WTB for a Spirotechnique bracelet about a year ago on several forums. A guy emailed me asking how much I was prepared to pay for one... And he asked me to send the money using WU. (Second red flag!)
I asked him for his name and full address. I checked the address using Street View. Turned out to be derelict site in North London... I then asked him for a listed telephone number (land line). He never responded.

Anyway, the 'buyer' mentioned by the OP is trying to avoid the address part by stating that the parcel will be picked up... and he's avoiding the tel. number question by stating that he just moved to the UK (So no tel. number yet...)

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
