New Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional
Hey everyone, have you checked out Tissot's new Seastar 2000 Professional?
Just a few specifications look to include a 46mm stainless steel case
with helium escape valve, 600m WR, beveled domed sapphire crystal,
unidirectional bezels with cermamic inserts, wave pattern gradient blue,
black, or turquoise dials with SLN coated hands, and markers, stainless
steel bracelets, sporty rubber straps, and Powermatic 80 behind it all.
Just a few pictures...
Monochrome Watches, and Tissot too...

I glanced right over the case size Todd, but you are right on
about it, it is a little big. Honestly think that I got a little
hypnotized my the wave pattern dial. Which by the way,
looks more realistic than a lot of wave pattern dials often do
it seems.
Can’t thank you enough for sharing your thoughts sir !!!

Really like that one but it's certainly on the large size. The Seastar 1000 is a tad smaller at 43mm.

16.25 thick as well... she’s a big’un
Although a Jasar is quite a bit bigger and several of us have rocked that one...
Those days are over for me, though
Thanks Tom!

Like it would have to try it on to be certain the size works for me
Re: New Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional
My pleasure Paul, and everyone !
Was thinking about this, and really believe that this would
be one of those cool opportunities for a company to make
multiple sizes of a watch available to everyone.
There could be a 42mm maybe, a 40mm, even 38mm. Or
at least have a 40, or 42mm added in.
Thank YOU Paul, and all of you guys !!!
Re: New Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional
It does look more refined than previous models, but like the 1000 it’s huge.

First thing I noticed was the frame around the date window, which I appreciate. My OCD kicks in when I see raised indices and a date window without a raised frame around the date. (Seiko, Omega, et al) Second thing I noticed was 46mm, and that was the end for me. Nice looking though.
Re: New Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional
Was thinking about this guys, and wondering if maybe the
46mm was much closer to 42, or 43mm instead.
Mainly because the crown actually looks like it might just
be adding those few extra millimeters. But the case itself
looks quite a bit smaller.
Just thought I would throw that out there.
And also thank everyone for giving their two cents !!!

Re: New Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional
I think I’m in the minority I like it and don’t mind the size at all but I have hams not wrists. There is a lot to like from the textures dial, fitted rubber, ceramic insert, applied markers and as mentioned above nice date window detail. Thats a lot to like at that price point!!
To me the size is similar to an SOH in size just a tad thicker. I’ll be trying to find one to try on.
