After falling in love with motorcycles again, it was just a matter of time for me to get a “motorcycle inspired” watch. And thanks to @misterenthusiast instagram page, I remembered that the awesome Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the Rider’s Chronograph back in the 1980’s. Cool thing about this one: Japan only, limited to 1,000 or 1,500 pieces (depending on the color), but you can get one on eBay for between $190-$300 depending on the color you want. The black and green model goes great with my Svartpilen and gloves. Pretty cool to have a watch designed by the same person who designed the BMW M1, Ferrari 250GT Berlinetta SWB Speciale, Iso Grifo, DeTomaso Mangusta and the DeLorean, among others. Check out Giugiaro’s design firm: Italdesign.

The dial is tilted 15 degrees, so it can be easily read while gripping a handlebar. More clever still, the watch face is also canted 5 degrees on its Y axis, more in line the rider’s eye. Mine is a limited edition of 1,000 and is number 37 which is a special number for me. Its a keeper
