More pictures of the new, 42mm MM200 (which Chris likes!)

I think the bezel inserts should have been swapped. As they are, I would go with the blue. But would prefer black on black just as the 44mm I had.

So is it confirmed that this is a new case and not the same as the older MM200?

Looks exactly like the MM200 case to me.CGSshorty wrote:So is it confirmed that this is a new case and not the same as the older MM200?
Re: New Seiko Thread
The older MM200 has a dial ring (a.k.a. chapter ring or rehaut). The case has to be designed to accommodate that, so it might be a revised case.

I agree, but the measurements have changed.hoppyjr wrote:Looks exactly like the MM200 case to me.CGSshorty wrote:So is it confirmed that this is a new case and not the same as the older MM200?

I thought I liked the one with the SS bezel better, but that blue in the video looks great. Nobody does blue better than Seiko imo.

Re: New Seiko Thread
The blue dial is truly nice!
Which it had the same thin bezel as the 44mm MM200. Also the material of the bezel insert does not appear to be the same:

Conspiracy theory, I know, but I wonder if it is the same case with a smaller diameter bezel/crystal/dial.

Re: New Seiko Thread
I don't think so, because the "old" MM200 has a dial ring/rehaut, while the new one does not. I think cases that use a dial ring/rehaut are machined with a little "shelf" for it to sit on.
That strap looks nice. Is that the one that comes with it, or aftermarket?

Re: New Seiko Thread
Thanks! The strap is the 20MM Scurfa strap, very nice rubber.
Regarding the dimensions, I will have to wait until someone measures the case. To be honest, based on the pictures I like the 44mm model more, except for the hands. And the 44mm model wore great on my 6.75" wrist.

The 44 is the smallest 44 I’ve ever seen. It’s great on my 7.25” wrist.Joeprez wrote:Thanks! The strap is the 20MM Scurfa strap, very nice rubber.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Agree! Wears better than a U1, and the U1 is also a "small" 44mm.
I'm actually checking prices of the blue dial version (blue hole?!?).

Re: New Seiko Thread
Yep, the one I got from Joe is easily the smallest wearing 44mm I've ever tried.

Re: New Seiko Thread
same here. it absolutely sound ridiculous to say it but it is. i would have a hard time not telling people it is a 42mm. not to mentioned it is more balanced than the mm300 imo

Re: New Seiko Thread
It wears like a 41 mm watch to me. And nothing like an MM300 (even though the cases look very similar they wear nothing alike).
