I’m very afraid of heights. You gotta trust your equipment.

And never jumping from Lodi, CA helps

Great to see these coming out. Glad I didn't go through with purchasing the SLA033, though I could do with the X on these...

I love the look of this one, and the dimensions, could be my first Seiko. Little confused, I can't find this exact one (SPB149J1 - blueish dial w/o a gold second hand). This does not appear to have a gold second hand (unless it's lighting).

Image

Here's 3 of them, and it shows (as do many other pics) with a gold second hand on the 149 (not a fan of gold anything, but I might be able to get past that).

The SPB145J1 looks like it (w/o gold second hand), but with a grey dial. Both look great, would be a hard choice, that blueish one is probably the hottest, but the grey 145 is growing on me and looks a bit more retro.

Image

Edit - I missed the forth one - the SPB143J1 looks like the grey one I like the best, not the 145 - though the 149 is pretty hot also - tough choice:

When these guys hit Seiya, oh boy!
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Awesome photo. I wish I wasn’t such a little bitch when it comes to heights.
You’d love it.

I don't have a fear of heights; I have a fear of a fall resulting in dismemberment and/or death.
That is what a parachute is for.
Yes, parachute. Love? I don’t think I’d enjoy the ride down after pissing myself.
Take you bungee jumping up in Nanimo one of these days. Get Dave to go along too.

I'd happily trade my SBDC051 for one of those.

There is zero chance of that happening. Not even gonna watch.

I couldn’t even drive the road to Haleakala and that was without even leaving the ground!

That looks way better than Seiko's own photos/renderings.

What's the street price on these?

Winner, winner. Except for that price. I'm not a buyer for a mid range Seiko at that price.

It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I’m half way there.

Remember the days of sbdx001 at $1700 with the weakened Yen? And flipping them for $1400-$1500 all day, sometimes numerous times for us flippers. That was less than a decade ago but seems like longer. The

Unfortunately, those days are behind us, unless you’re in the right position for a dwc fire sale, which might need an overdue service.
