Re: New Seiko Thread
I thought it was around $2750, base on the quoted yen pricing

The newest NAFT is by far the least interesting thing in this photo:

Yes, this could be the dream sub-$1K Seiko diver. Of course, Seiko will probably screw it up somehow.
Edit: talking about the one in the lower left of the bottom pic. The one on top is incredible, but will be many multiple of $1K.

Isn’t the one on top the SLA025?dukerules wrote:Yes, this could be the dream sub-$1K Seiko diver. Of course, Seiko will probably screw it up somehow.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Looking forward to getting more information on that latest 62MAS version.
Re: New Seiko Thread
Me too. I'm interested to see if that lower left one is just the SBDC051/053 case with new hands, or if it is a new case altogether.
FWIW, I believe the SBDC051/053 represents just about the pinnacle of budget dive watch from a value proposition perspective. Leveraging that case with some new handset options makes sense.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Hope is a smaller case! Love the look but the mm200 fits so much better on the wrist.Ryeguy wrote:Me too. I'm interested to see if that lower left one is just the SBDC051/053 case with new hands, or if it is a new case altogether.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Seiko and Grand Seiko have some real gems, but man, they have some really ugly watches too...

Re: New Seiko Thread
So true. Something for everyone I guess.
That Astron SBXC055 case shape is nice and would make a nice 6139 Pogue homage. I would only be able to get one in quartz, Seiko. Please get on that with an entirely new single register movement.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Would it have killed them to release an SKX with the 4R36 movement?

Damn, I might just have to get in on this one. The specs are perfect.
Limited to 5500 pieces.
Seiko SBDC101/SPB149
Thickness: 13.2mm
Diameter: 40.5mm
L2L: 47.6mm

Edit:
Apparently 3 other LE 55th Anniversary models are being released. Their pricing is typical crazy Seiko but they look great

Looks nice! I wonder if this set of hands will be available soon. I'd like to swap them into my SPB053..r.palace wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 3:26 amDamn, I might just have to get in on this one. The specs are perfect.

Because it’s going to have the pedestrian 6R movement, they’re saying somewhere in the $1300 rangeHapaHapa wrote:That looks great ! What's the going rate? $6000 ish?r.palace wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 3:26 amDamn, I might just have to get in on this one. The specs are perfect.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Almost got excited about that whitish dial Samurai, but there's that f**king wart again.
If I have to change something on a watch to like it then I'm never a buyer.
Also after having the SPB053 for several years I prefer its case/profile/bezel, and even the hands, over these new releases.
Finally anything over say $700 for any 6r based movement is a no for me. Been burned too many times.

I'd be in for the $1.3K range.r.palace wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 6:49 amBecause it’s going to have the pedestrian 6R movement, they’re saying somewhere in the $1300 rangeHapaHapa wrote:That looks great ! My SLA017 wears perfect, so this would be a lower cost "every day wear" version of that watch.
Re: New Seiko Thread
New Spring Drive movement. Interesting, but limited, big (albeit in titanium), and pricey.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Seiko really shits on their LE buyers with these follow-up releases.
Apart from that, lots of great looking options here.
