Hello DWC Gang!!
Hey Guys and Gals of DWC!!
Tonight is my first logon since December 2009?? It's hard for me to fathom I have been away that long. A lot has happened in my life since then.
August 2016 I retired from the state's Office of Technology after 17 years. It was pretty much involuntary on my part as I was hoping to make it to 20 years. However, A certain supervisor had really become a prick so bad I had several anxiety attacks on the job. No one should have to go through this abuse but, it's all over now... Onward and Upwards!
The next month, September 2016 I filed for disability. This is how dumb our state of WV is... To file for disability, you CANNOT be working! This was the hardest three years Mrs. Chesterdogg and I had to endure.
2019 has not been a good year. Back in January on MLK Day we had to put our beloved basset-beagle Chester down. My username is named after him and he was the best companion/friend anyone could have. February 12, 2019 I had my disability hearing which the judge found in my favor. Four days later on the 16th, I lost the love of my life and best friend, Mrs. Chesterdogg due to a diabetic issue. Loosing your precious pet and your wife within 30 days is too much for anyone had to bare. Needless to say, this has been a hard year for me, trying to move forward without the ones I love and cherish.
I thought it was time to return to the forum I cherish most. My collection has grown out of control. I have a 12 slot and 24 slot watch boxes, and I have have more watches than the slots in the watch box will allow. I was fortunate to collect some higher end timepieces... A Brietling B1, Tudor Heritage BB Stainless 3-hander, and I have my only vintage at this time, an Omega from the 1970s. I would like to sell some I no longer wear and hopefully find a good home where they can be worn and appreciated.
That's it for now and it feels good to be back home amongst friends I have made, you know who you are. Drop by and say hello and I will post as often as I can. I hope all of you and your families are doing well, and I hope the remainder of the year will be much better for all of us.
Hope to see you on the forums!!!

That’s a lot of lemons to handle in one year and making lemonade is easier said than done. My condolences on your loss. Interacting with friends, even virtually, is good for healing. Hang in there.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome back. It is truly great to be back among friends. Even if we never meet face to face, you can feel the warmth and family association this forum holds. I hope I can contribute in some way that will make those I come in contact with feel good about themselves. Each of us brings something different to DWC, and that's what makes this forum special.
