Omega chronograph.

Post by Noisy Nova » Fri Jan 07, 2011 4:56 pm

I've got two omega chronographs, a 321 and an 1861.
I don't need two. Should I sell the 1861? It's a Speedy Replica. It hardly ever gets worn.

What was I thinkin'. Nevermind.

replica as in fake? or as in re-edition?

not all of us know model numbers, and when i googled them they both look like regular pros, not that one you posted. which is that one?

It's a 3594.50, it 'replicates' the first Speedmaster, issued in 1957.

Yes it's hot, but so's this one. Also bought new.

One of them's gotta go. Which one?

I might opt for the 321...It would be good to see the two watches next to each other....

Cal 321 led to the Cal 861 and then 1861...All based off lemania movements...

Two pretty cool Omega's...Really sell the one you wear less...

Both are fantastic. If you have to sell one, makes sense to sell the 1861 (as you rarely wear it). Wish you could keep both, though.

is that one solid gold? if so id keep it. If i had the reddies and didnt just buy a speedy and another chrono, id try and snag that goldie from you.

What are those two going for lately? sell the one you wear less and is worth more.

Plated, 40 microns. They're probably both worth about the same.

NOOOOO don't sell the 321 Seamaster. It's just too cool. You can sell that Replica and just look at John Wilson's awesome photos of his when you start to miss her.

Great idea. I'll dig it out and take some up to date pics. Anyone here interested?

I like the looks of the 1861.But since the 321 movement is not made any more makes it a little rarer hard call keep the one you like the best.If I were you keep them both.

Have a watchmaker take the 321 movement and drop it into the Speedy case and then source a display back. The ultimate Franken-Speedy! :headbang:

I've thought of that. Watchco has all the required parts. My 321 movement dates from 1958. I could make an alpha handed Speedy.
