Doxa QC sucks, unevenly painted hands

my Doxa 1000t pro had the same issue.

I thought the hands were to be dipped for this model based on past feedback (and not just painted on the top)? Luckily, my sharkie's hands are fine, it's a couple of years old so maybe better QC years ago than now or maybe it's based on model # as in the 1000, 1200 and 4000, but the 750's are fine?

I saw a thread with the same photo's at watchuseek forum and saying the same thing he compared it to a Seiko hands. Now Seiko are chrome hands as are most hands from other brands were the finish looks better. Now if you look at any other brands that are painted and not chrome my Eterna Kontiki Super same as Doxa the Avricoste Spiritechnique the same as Doxa, and my Doxa Tusa 1000T all the same all manufactures do the same unless it's chrome.Any how you need a lupe to see it

I don't have a better pic than this at the moment:
But I'm looking at it right now, and I can tell you that the paint is nice and even, front and back on this sucker.

Adam I mainly mean the 2000.00 range with painted hands I expect the JLC at it's price range should be a step above the 2000.00 range and down. But if you got any others look with a lupe I could not get any I have with a photo showing it but with a lupe you see it some are not as bad as the Doxa photo but the paint is weak on the sides.

Ah, Doxa quality
Someone once said to me that the Doxa quality is one of the many quirks you just have to love if you`re gonna own one
I dont mind it when I buy second hand, but when I shelled out for a brand new Doxa 1200T with alot of little flaws, I was pissed like a futtermucker

Honey Badger FTW!!!

Avricoste Spirotechnique

Eterna Kontiki Super.

Doxa
I tried to get better photo's but this is the best I can do I took a lot of photo's trying to get it.You need a lupe to really see it now watch co have been doing this for years and it take a watch forum to cry about something you need a lupe to see now there forum police and customer service is what really the problem is and price so we start looking at stuff to bitch about and these watch Co's have been doing hands like this for years.Remember the vintage pieces are from the 1970's and 1980's and I bet if you look at the reissue Kontiki I bet the hands are the same unfinished on the sides. Now lets see some photo's of other watch brands and see if I am right vintage to new just painted hands.

I think the DOXA 750s are good. At least mine were as much as I remember. The more DOXAs they sold, the more they cut corners to make $$$. Prices peaked after they got stupid high, and now they are coming backl down to reality in the form of "sales". Too bad the QC is worse. I love me some DOXAs, but their company blows.

As David says, the 750T is fine. It is the newer contracts ... errr, the newer "hands" that have the problem.

the doxawhore's vintage doxa hands look great, they seem muich thicker also.
the ones the OP posted look like someone laid them out on a cardboard box in the driveway and sprayed them with krylon.

Loupe check done. All is well.
Wearing it now to make up for questioning it.
Still, that is piss poor on the part of DOXA. Very, very disappointing.

Seems like i've been doing alot of DOXA bashing of late but it looks to me that they are sending more and more work overseas and i'm not talking Europe! At those prices its unexceptable!

I wouldnt say so. My Lagunare is below Doxa price and has hands evenly painted.
