Yeah, I know it's a bit wussy, but I've just watched the latest Grand Tour. Rory Mcilroy (& Paris Hilton! WTF) were guests. He was clearly wearing a Speedy Pro on a what looked like an 1171 bracelet.. and going by the 'jingle noise' picked up on the mics, on 633 end-links too.. I only know that, as that's the same set-up I wear day-in-day-out - that jingle is unmistakable! Newer watch, older bracelet.
It's not a combo a non-watch would know about, plus, the dude is worth £M's.. and has that specific combo - gotta be a bone-fide watch guy!

He probably is interested in watches, no doubt, as he alters straps, and is frequently seen wearing different pieces. He is a brand ambassador for Omega, and was previously with AP.

What's interesting is the combo he had.. usually brand ambassadors don't really give a shit, and wear the latest model given to them.
In fact, the combo he had probably isn't something that Omega would endorse, as it's not their current product range. Interesting stuff!

I'm big into golf, so always paying attention to see what their wearing. I was in the Jacksonville airport and was sitting 10 feet away from Matt Kuchar rocking a nice AP chronograph. I've seen Spieth wearing a Polar Explorer on grey nato. Fowler is a Rolex ambassador and have seen interviews where he was wearing a platinum Daytona. I'm with you though, always a sign of a true enthusiast when when you see a unique strap change.

Noticed Phil at Pebble with something new. Thought he was a Cellini guy...

That's cool; I'll have to do a search for pics. Also, I might take up golf when I'm old enough

I did try to take some screengrabs, but the Amazon player doesn't allow it.. all you get are black screen grabs.

Yes Steve, I got the bracelet and end links brand new from Cousins when they had them at the crazy cheap price of £60, I'm sure they had the wrong price showing on their web site.

Result. I periodically consider getting a speedy, but haven't yet convinced myself. Maybe a retirement gift to myself in a couple of years.

He must be a Watch guy with that bracelet setup, nobody would do it for the look
Would be great if some of the celebs would come and post on the forums under their name. I’ve often thought about starting a celeb thread and pointing obvious Watch lover celebs to it via twitter and IG and see what would happen over the years.
I guess they do anyway but under aliases.

Feels awkward to me too but I guess if a company was offering me hundreds of thousands of dollars to... I’d get used to it I reckon?

Got a better look yesterday at Phil's watch. Think it's a Cellini Prince. You don't see those very often.
