You're not going to get Pussy Galore wearing that thing.

What's with the crystal on the Quantum of Solace? I don't see what I'm supposed to be seeing ?!?

The "Quantum of Solace" is etched into the crystal.rockmastermike wrote:What's with the crystal on the Quantum of Solace? I don't see what I'm supposed to be seeing ?!?

I guess Pierce Brosnan is coming back?

I'm going to check them out. I've seen some regimental designs but nothing like that.JP Chestnut wrote:It's probably some James Bond regimental bullshit design. I know I've seen regimental natos for sale online. You might get lucky.

I'd start by... uh... figuring out which "regiment James Bond was in", and go from there. Judging by the reception of this watch, people seem to like the NATO, so if it's not currently available it probably will be shortly

I'm glad my watch is so old Omega was selling it before that wanker Pierce Brosnan couldn't live without it!

Omega is getting cheesier and cheesier, maybe they hired Orange County Choppers to design it.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks!JP Chestnut wrote:I'd start by... uh... figuring out which "regiment James Bond was in", and go from there. Judging by the reception of this watch, people seem to like the NATO, so if it's not currently available it probably will be shortly

Anything "Bond" branded is silly. And that particular watch is ugly as sin.

Re: Do you always think the "bond" versions of watches are tacky?
I really like second hands with a counter balance (like my Trident) but the 007 is ugly, the Olympic Rings, whilst still not good, were better.
Why can't they just be subtle? The QOS would've been great without the crystal. And what about the AT with the coat of arms??? Omega seems to try too hard with these and the Olympic LEs.
A special case back, something subtle on the dial, simple.

it *can* be slightly uglier. just add gold.

Re: Do you always think the "bond" versions of watches are tacky?
I guess since Spectre was such crap, Omega couldn't be outdone with their watch for the next one.

There's just nothing about this watch that makes any sense. Visually, it's awful. And is it a watch to commemorate Bond or the Royal Navy?? And the 007 counterbalance?! What a horrible release from Omega.

But it's still not as nice as the original. They scaled up the logo and made it too big.
Re: Do you always think the "bond" versions of watches are tacky?
Tacky indeed IMHO. Also, Bond would never wear a watch with 007 lettering..., Plus it'd be too revealing to villains, "guys, I'm here to kill you", just wouldn't work.
