It's been proven to me, over and over again, DWC rocks.

I recently found a PVD Sea Quartz but it came with a s/s crown. The original PVD crowns were brass and didn't fair too well.

I knew that Pete (Batt14) was a Chronosport fan, with his stock of 47 UDT's...lol. I asked him if he had a PVD crown in his parts box, which he did! The UDT shares the same, internally threaded crown, as the Sea Quartz (980.006 case).

No questions asked, he said he'd send it to me and we'd figure out some sort of trade or whatever... :)

Cool do a photo after the crown installed. You mite be able to do it your self a crown came out of my Lemania there a screw on the movement that tightens to hold the stem in and loosens to remove the stem surprised how easy it was when I reinstalled the stem.

I will post a photo, once the crown is installed. I usually don't screw around with watch internals and I have my Chronosport support crew here. The brother of the (former) owner of Chronosport, has a watch company here. He has a cabinet full of old Watch parts, but didn't have a pvd crown. Anyways...I'll have it installed there.

Things are easy to come by. The world is full of them. Knowledge, relationships, trust, honor . . . . not so much. Communities exist and thrive to the extent they fill the void. Whenever we find a corner of the world with values that sinc with our own, I believe we intuitively find ways to nurture it. What really makes it work is the community awareness and consent. Dave's broadcast of our little arrangement probably does more to ensure that "this place rocks" into the future than my act. Besides he knows the brother of the dude that used to own Chronosport! Maybe he can help me find this (my personal UDT grail).

Pete also generously hooked me up with an endlink for my UDT. I originally messaged him to see if he knew whether a generic endlink would fit, as I only had one for the bracelet.

Pete graciously offered to send me one of his spares. No way in the world I would have been able to find one on my own.

The black crown that Pete sent arrived today. I took it to the shop and my buddy installed it for me, while I waited...
