A thousand times better. I still prefer the LE but this is a major improvement.Morethan1 wrote:

I love that blue. After seeing that photo I'll be fine with the stock hands too. Winner.

...with a sumo style clasp. Could work.

Do any seikos actually have a GOOD bracelet? Even GS seems to have a nicely produced basic design.

Re: RE: Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
I had a Seiko Brightz chrono that had a decent bracelet, and a GS bracelet that was very nice, though not on par with say modern Rolex. If this uses the GS that'd be nice and would somewhat help justify the cost over the MM300.JP Chestnut wrote:Do any seikos actually have a GOOD bracelet? Seiko and GS has a number of very well executed bracelets. It it the clasps that they fail at.

I'm a fan of the simple clasps on the GS SBGE001 and SBGJ001 (I believe it's the same clasp).

I like the watch, just not $3850 worth of like.

Looks great, but the way the dome distorts the second marks (making them look super long) isn't ideal.

Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
I also appreciate the "correct" 19mm lugs, but would have preferred to see the reissue @ 20mm to facilitate strap selection. It wouldn't have been noticeable but would have worked better.

Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
I hate oddball strap widths. It's impossible to find a decent short length 19mm strap. The best option I've seen is the nomos straps but they're a bit... basic.
Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
Agreed. Not sure why it's not 10-15% of that.hoppyjr wrote:I like the watch, just not $3850 worth of like.

Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
The JDM SBDX019 is being released 2 weeks from today, so theoretically mine should be shipping from Japan in 2 weeks. They're usually right on target, so I should have it in about 3 weeks?
Here's a link to a video I saw yesterday that shows it off pretty well.

I can't remember how much these were going for from your source, but anywhere between $2,000 and $2,500 seems like a pretty decent deal. This is a nice looking watch.

Does anyone know if the movement is decorated or regulated?

my sources (IG link above) indicate the "high-end caliber 8L35 made in Morioka is basically a Grand Seiko caliber" is not decorated but no mention of it being regulatedJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2017 6:30 amDoes anyone know if the movement is decorated or regulated?

Re: 62MAS-Inspired Seiko Dive Watch
I've always assumed it's the MM300 movement, which is fine. I wish they would release a one piece case diver at the mm300 price point, but in a size closer to 40mm. This watch seems to be the closest model to that, and the demand is high.rockmastermike wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2017 6:45 ammy sources (IG link above) indicate the "high-end caliber 8L35 made in Morioka is basically a Grand Seiko caliber" is not decorated but no mention of it being regulatedJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2017 6:30 amDoes anyone know if the movement is decorated or regulated?
