As far as I know, no money or product exchanges hands between sponsors and admins. What they do, is have brands donate watches or straps etc to be a sponsor in the group which gives them posting privileges to promote their wares.
The donated product is given away in contests they run monthly to the members of the group, usually via photo contests.

With that said, the watches we do get we put right back into the hands of those that support our group.
It's quite evident you don't like me or my group. Curious as to why? Bc we logo our watches? Or bc you (or anyone) considers it to be a pussy-ass group that doesn't allow cussing, or people to tell each other to fuck off around each bend?
If it were my group, which it isn't, it'd be somewhere in between this one and that one, but that's a different story.

In fact, how many $1,000 dollar watches have you donated back to your members and have gotten nothing in return.matt.wu wrote:Thanks for that, Don, but that does not change my response to his statement.tattoo chef wrote:I don't want to speak for anyone and I have no involvement in the Dive Facebook group other than being a member.matt.wu wrote:Very big of you to talk about a product positively without being paid for it. It's not the same, Ariel. We don't ask for or accept watches for review purposes. I like the fact that you give the review watches away.

I don't care about your group. I didn't know about it before this thread. Even after this thread, I still don't care about it. Your many members can do their thing if it makes them happy, I really have never once thought to compare it to here. I've always said that the intention of DWC was never to be an "anti-WUS" or "tough guy" forum, but I do like that we can be honest here without worrying about paid sponsors, and so naturally, people use this forum as an outlet to voice opinions where they'd otherwise be censored.ArielJavier wrote:Actually, Matt, I don't get paid for shit. On the other hand, I happen to think you're a guy who always has an agenda behind a lot of what you post. It slips out here and there and has since you joined. And not an agenda in a sly, genius way. An agenda in a "hey I'll do anything for a buck" kinda way. So I don't dislike you; I just don't care much for your posts.
If you look at the way I handle forums, I usually like to let people form their own opinions about members. But you asked, so I'm giving you an answer.

Re: FaceBook Dive Watch group collaborations
Since we began in Dec of 2015, we've been giving out the watches that are sent to us month after month. Sometimes, several times within one month. Straps, rolls, etc. All donated to us and we then donate it back. Shit, I've lost money as sometimes I've had to ship to Uzbekistan on my dime.CGSshorty wrote:It's not the same, Ariel. Re: FaceBook Dive Watch group collaborations
jesus......who cares......its watches.....like them here, like them there, like them at both......like them at neither......i don't get all the bs. DWC is the kind of place where people who are genuine hang out and any that are not, eventually end up leaving. I have no idea who this person is nor have ever heard of his FB page. I say let things play out and all will end as it should. I don't see anything here that seems out of place to me.
I did just join the FB page though as i enjoy seeing pics from so many people.....helps me figure out my next piece.

Can we all just strap on a pink strap and have a group hug FFS ?
I like both places and have fun wherever I can. One thing I've learned is that you can't please everyone.
What was the original topic again before it turned into a "who's watch penis is bigger competition' ??

By the way since it's apparently easy as hell to make a watch can we make a DWC watch?
