Has anyone seen any bezel swapping on these yet?
I was thinking about what a 773 bezel swap with a 779 would be like.

You would end up with:

Blue dial / pepsi bezel (PADI style )
Black dial / blue bezel




A black bezel gold/gilt dial wouldn't be bad either

Exactly what I had in mind but I'm resistant being in the anti-mod camp.

I can get behind the double dome as it's an improvement to the original aesthetic and will do this eventually... I would do this mod/swap to both then if convinced.

Problem I'm having is the 773 is just so damned perfect all dark blue I'm not sure adding the pepsi dial to it would be an improvement?

Black dial with blue would be cool but I think it would end up getting sold whereas I might be more inclined to keep both in their original configurations.

I think the only alternative is to buy another 773 and 779 and selling the blue bezel on black dial 779. You'd end up with two blue dials and one with a Pepsi bezel. The blue-on-black would move quickly to parlay the funds. Might as well add a crystal to that one, too, just in case you decided to keep it.

It has been done and looks fantastic.... Wish he kept the blue on black instead of swapping dials even though his sunburst mod is nice:

The different shades of blue throws it off for me. But it doesn't look bad.

Harold's work. Quoted me $45 for the bead blast and $150 for DLC.

Never had either mod done but I'm assuming that pricing is in the ballpark.

Really love the look but that's a lot of coin to invest in this watch. Will consider it down the line if this one stays.

Cheapest I have ever seen for dlc was $500 for the watch head.

Always thought this was mostly a sub $250 service
