Another option for slighter longer hands are the ones from the SNZH55. They have decent lume too...
Otherwise, if you are happy with the ones you have on now, then

I'd probably try the SKX007, Classic Seiko diver hands.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

The lume is slightly off in color on the Shogun. I recall the MM300 hands being slightly lighter in daylight.andrema wrote:MM300 hands

Yeah the minute hand is shorter than the stock hands. But once I see this combo in person I will decide.dnslater wrote:That is pretty hot. Was it hard to source those hands? Minute hand is a tad short, but longer than the MM300 hands.toxicavenger wrote:
Nicely done. Love that hour hand.
Wayne, there are probably on more Seiko watches than you could shake a stick at.marchone wrote:This. The Shogun's unique handset is what gives it its character.CGSshorty wrote:Leave it alone.

Great suggestion, if these don't work out it might be the Ti Samurai next or the SNZH55. Thanks brocarlodwc wrote:toxicavenger wrote:

They are for a small diameter watch, so they would be stubby also. But they might work.Henryj wrote:I'd probably try the SKX007, Classic Seiko diver hands.

Duarte told me most seiko hands do not exactly match the dials. So if anything I will get these relume to match if they look good in person.hoppyjr wrote:The lume is slightly off in color on the Shogun. I recall the MM300 hands being slightly lighter in daylight.andrema wrote:MM300 hands

While I prefer the original hands, (just a stock kind of guy) I'll have to see more pics to see if they grow on me. Very few mods do it for me, with the exception of the ones Carlos comes up with.
Of course it only matters what you like.

Terry:
Where did you source the GS hands?
Do you think they are the same size as the NAFT hands? I'm thinking this might be cooler than doing the dial/hands swap I had planned.....

Still prefer the oem hands but I have to say that the GS hands do look damn good.

I did most Seiko's and their stock hands. This Shogun I think could look better with a different set, so hopefully these are the one.59yukon01 wrote:While I prefer the original hands, (just a stock kind of guy) I'll have to see more pics to see if they grow on me. The hands are from yobokies. He has a gold set also. These were called GS silver I think. They will fit on the NAFT, I will put them side by side when they get back and see what they look like. If it looks good I might order a gold set also.hoppyjr wrote:Terry:

Just checked out Harold's site. The gold hands are called Gold GSD. I think I might order a set and throw them on my 775 or order the silver and swap them out on my soon to be ordered 773 or 777.
Re: Seiko Shogun hand ideas??? Thoughts
What about keeping with the original minute hand but using the fantastic Grand Seiko hour hand?

One thing you could try is to use the original seconds hand together with these you have on now... the shape and finish would match the GS hour/minute hands better in my opinion...toxicavenger wrote:jswing wrote:Actually looks pretty good T.

You can do a "dry run" test, put the watch on the desk and then put the original seconds hand on it in the middle of the crystal and see, different positions so you can see how it works with the hands and dial. You will have at least a good idea of how it will look when installed. I do that some time to have an idea of the outcome before actually opening the watch.toxicavenger wrote:I think you might be rightcarlodwc wrote:One thing you could try is to use the original seconds hand together with these you have on now... the shape and finish would match the GS hour/minute hands better in my opinion...toxicavenger wrote:jswing wrote:Actually looks pretty good T.
