Is the actual dial sort of convex around the edges? Has that look and frankly that detail is what I love about this.

yep, it's amazing in person, minute hand looks bent at the tip (cue hoppy, ben, terrany...)

I believe both the dial and minute/central seconds hands are curved. The domed crystal also adds to the depth. Here's a slightly better angle.

the day i tried on the silver dial 3-hander at the boutique in chicago, i nearly caved.
unfortunately, that was the same day i was there to try on the ti bathyscaphe, so i was distracted.
one day tho...

I had no idea that the dial was curved. I thought it was just an affect of a domed crystal. That's really cool.
