Your pic does better justice to the gray than my rushed shots.

What are you busy doing? Organizing your flip flop collection? Contemplating posting your Red Wing boots for sale?

Let's not discuss my Red Wings. I miss wearing them. I grabbed the box on the way out of the house to Brendan's swim practice. I'll open it when I get home.

Cory... Yours shipped out today. I will have the tracking number later provided I can get to my post office again. We are getting spanked by another snowstorm here on the CT shoreline today.
U eFing Rock Todd. Just got the email. Who would've thought when you put these words together, "Baltic Shield Tracking Number", that it would sound like sweet music.

Tracking says it will get to me on Wednesday. That is fast. Unfortunately I won't be home as my boss figured it would be nice to go on a 2 day company retreat to Lake Tahoe on the same week my Baltic Shield arrives.

Oh well, one more day won't hurt and it gives me something to look forward to.

Turning out to be an awesome week already =)

Karlskrona Baltic Shield - Update Thread (Updated 2/6)

Post by hoppyjr » Mon Feb 08, 2016 4:01 pm

Received #5 & 6. Initial impressions;

- dial is lovely

- handset works well

- case quality "ok" for the price

- wears thicker than the 13.5 spec would suggest

- bezel is nice on mine, with no play. Tiny bit off, but it's ok for the price.

- crown action is good, winding smooth.

Mine will likely see beater duty.

This is a very cool watch! I didn't anticipate the thickness of the watch. MAN size!

Love the case and dial and dimensions.
Date is not aligned.
Bezel not perfectly aligned though I can somewhat align it by moving it back a bit.

I have the same issue with the bezel, but it is slight.

As for the date; One of the reasons I prefer a no-date, especially for low priced micros, is its one less thing to mess up.

I'd love to see a screw crown, 200m+, fixed/smooth bezel, Ranger/Explorer dial, and running the Seiko motor. Think of it as an upgrade to the Maratac pilot, but 43-44 mm.

On DrunkArtStraps Kodiak leather. Strap is thick so it fills the space in the lugs.

Karlskrona Baltic Shield - Update Thread (Updated 2/6)

Post by Disc Golfer 209 » Tue Feb 09, 2016 10:49 pm

Hey everyone,

I was thinking about it all day today while at work and after getting home that I feel 100% like I have to apologize. Some may not welcome or believe my apologies but I'm really sorry.

I chose the wrong thread to post and I really didn't even have to post anything at all in either forum and just kept my mouth shut.

I take a lot of pride in everything I do and I was giving this thought a lot today and lost pride in my previous words and turned into shame.

I should've not posted anything on WUS and I shouldn't have cared about anyone calling me out here after I made the mistake of posting. I made it worse and worse and could've been easily prevented if I shut my mouth (fingers) down.

It was a penile move and I'm not proud of it. I wasn't thinking it was, when I did it. I was wrong.

I'm sorry, Todd and all members that saw and I'm embarrassed. That wasn't very honorable of me and was truly disgusting even if at the time I felt I was right but was really far from.

Todd, you worked really hard to finish this project and I pooped on it. I'm sorry. I wish you turn this Baltic Shield into one of those microbrand watches that always keep bringing new generations like Shark Divers, A1's, A4's, Morays, Megalodons, etc. I really think this watch is one that should keep coming back when sold out, if possible. The community needs more of these.

When I commented on WUS, I really wanted every one to know that I didn't care about anyone's opinion and that I was gonna buy it anyways. But I added crap that was better left unsaid. Too late now but I am really sorry. That was very stupid and douchebag of me.

I'm really ashamed,
Luis

Well, it takes character to own it like this, so I'd say you've put some points on the board.
