Raven Endeavour II - Something New In 42
I'm a big fan of Raven watches, currently have two 40mm Trekkers.
Lately, Steve has been making watches with 40mm and 39mm cases.
He just posted the diagrams below on his FB group with the title "Something New in 42".
I'm looking forward to more info.

Re: Raven - Something New In 42
This looks interesting and 42mm for me is a good size. Hope he has some basic pictures soon on this design
Re: Raven - Something New In 42
awesome! such a shortage of micros in my size range lately, also looking forward to seeing some photos.
Re: Raven - Something New In 42
This looks really interesting, and I really appreciate he is developing a new piece in a larger size (42mm). I've liked his latest stuff but they have been too small for my taste. This one is looking good. I'll have to see what the dial looks like.

I like them, a lot, and that mint green is nice, but wish there was a black without the gilt.

These look real good so far. I like the blue, yellow, and mint green. It will be nice to see real sample models when he has them.

color me very interested
Re: Raven Endeavour II - Something New In 42
I wonder how many of each versions will be made. I will assume the yellow and mint green will most likely the hot offering
Re: Raven Endeavour II - Something New In 42
Ooh nice Matt, hadn’t or haven’t seen these until right now, thank you !!!
I just love all of the different variations, along with uniquely cool dial
colors with these. Plus the actual case design isn’t something you will
see every day either actually. And the size really looks to be right in
the sweet spot for a lot of people also. ..Genuinely looks like yet another
home run from them is in the works !

Any guesses as how long something like this usually takes from drawings to prototypes to production?

Conservative timeline would be about 9 months or so until we see a production model, barring any delays.rockmastermike wrote:Any guesses as how long something like this usually takes from drawings to prototypes to production?

I'm saving my "micro dollars" for the new seaforth, but I've always liked the designs that Raven puts out. I don't know anything about what goes into manufacturing a watch, but I feel like the dial manufacturing has improved, or become more accessible for independents in recent years. I don't remember seeing so many dials with raised indices from micro brands in the past. Maybe I just haven't been paying attention?
Re: Raven Endeavour II - Something New In 42
I've been following this one develop and am pretty excited about it so far. I've liked Steve's Trekker models but they have always been too small for me. I can do the 42mm dia with this new Endeavor II. I'll be interested in the black dial version if the blue center fade isn't too prominent. Wish he would do a solid black dial, I'd definitely be in.

Re: Raven Endeavour II - Something New In 42
I asked him about the solid black dial (with no gilt) and he said it didn’t make the cut. He was only able to do 6 versions and this is what he wanted to go with.DEMO wrote:I've been following this one develop and am pretty excited about it so far. Re: Raven Endeavour II - Something New In 42
I have the first release of the Raven Endeavour and find this new one a lot more refined and better looking IMHO. I look forward to seeing the prototype models. I'm leaning towards either the dark blue or mint dial right now, but the prototype dial may change that.

Project is moving along.
Steve posted pics on FB Raven Group.
Steve said this about the cases:
The cases are in rough form here, not close to finished, but coming along!

I like this one a lot. Should I go yellow or finally give in to my strange desire for something two-tone?

That yellow is nice. If i wants waiting for the Halios SFIV in yellow I’d be tempted to get this. Steve makes a nice watch

I’ve had that strange desire as well but what always holds me back is it’s not real gold (obviously) and it always stops me. Something kind of like women’s fashion jewelry to me.CGSshorty wrote:I like this one a lot. Should I go yellow or finally give in to my strange desire for something two-tone?

I agree. I can deal with it on a Seiko because they’ve been doing it forever, and it’s kind of their thing. With other brands it just looks like fake gold.tattoo chef wrote:I’ve had that strange desire as well but what always holds me back is it’s not real gold (obviously) and it always stops me.
